I agree, but football will always be that way. There is a coin flip element on top of everything, which makes the Patriots/Cowboys/9ers/Steelers dynasties all that more impressive
With modern technology there isn’t much missed on the field of play. All angles covered mostly. Should be a review booth set up to see these things contested. Catches, was it, out of bounds. Fumbles. Now holding calls and others that are getting blown is left up to the refs decision. We got hosed twice on catches that get knocked out after they had possession and made a football move. The refs look around and say incomplete.

The ball comes out just before the knees touch. But hes down way before the knees ever become a thought. By rule, anything other than hands and knees is down. Like, say, a helmet.
Yes he's down, looks like the evil ref's got it right, glad some here understand the game, don't see how a challenge would have changed it even if they hadn't blown the time out with poor coaching. Good post for all the cry babies.

That is the great debate then, would you prefer constant replays and a 5-hour long game? The NFL does seem to be trying to avoid that

This is the only way to keep NFL officials on some kind of leash. Players complain, fans let them here it, eventually Goodell will not like all the bad attention that they are bringing the league and start to hold them more accountable....fire or suspension a few of them and the rest will fall into place.

One of the reasons why Goodell makes the Refs untouchable is because he knows how popular the NFL is and that he'll still be able to put billions into his pockets, even with horrible officiating. So he's not going to care enough about it to change anything.

This tweet says it all.

Can we stop with refs stole it? I thought the Cardinals controlled this game for all but a little towards the end of the third quarter. The Cowboys cut it to 22 to 14 and got the ball back. Then somebody fumbled.

And we cut it within 3 at the end of the game... And that fumble was correctly called on Dak, and yet the fumble on the Cardinals wasn't conveniently called... hence the 'refs stole it'. The defense would have literally gotten the ball back if the refs correctly called the game.

But it’s just the sporadic nature of what the refs can catch. I don’t doubt their integrity with any involved agenda, just the accuracy of the referee system in general.

Saying you’re playing against the other teams and the refs I take offense to, but saying you’re playing against the other team with some level of randomness added in I think is accurate.

Can you honestly tell me that when y'all play the Steelers, that there will be less penalties or less big play negating penalties called against the Eagles than called against the Steelers or Patriots or Packers?...

It's not a Cowboys thing as much as it is certain protected teams. One doesn't have to Google penalties stats in games as it won't tell the story

What Cowboys fan would admit that a hated Eagles team won't get a fair shake againt the Steelers if they didn't know it to be true

Eagles hatred should blind that type of observation. I have watched the Eagles get hosed by the refs against the Packers, Patriots and Steelers too many times to count

Furthetmore, we all know that the cowboys are officially the most Universally disliked team by all the fan bases....so why would any if those folks give any negative feedback to said team getting the shaft from the refs on a weekly basis

The Cowboys aren't losing games because if the refs....,they're doing that because if their own shortcomings......but if a game is close, the refs have and will be a negating factor

Yes I can honestly say that. I remember a game in 2008 where we beat the piss out of PIT, and it seemed every single thing was going our way. Same thing happened in 2016. We also sometimes get it against you, and sometimes you get it against us.

How often do you beat PIT/GB/NEP? That is also a factor. Losing fans will always lament bad calls more than winning fans. I'm willing to bet if you go on the Steelers boards these last few years, they feel like the refs coddle the Ravens to an unbelievable extent.

Geezus.

I mean at least hold a consistent thought in your head longer than 1 sentence.
It actually wasn't a fumble after all.

But my point is the defense can't count on turnovers as their only way to stop teams. That whole last drive was embarrassing defense. A defense that relies solely on turnovers more than likely won't get u far in the playoffs. Add to that the offense can never get going before the end of the game against good teams. Not a great recipe for success.

Not disputing the fumble. Just the overall ineptitude that Is NFL officiating.

All teams deal with bad calls. It is not an advantage or disadvantage. Its a part of the game and has been since they started officiating football. Its way better now with replay but you need to manage timeouts.

Quit making crap up! You can clearly see the ball coming loose in the second clip in this tweet. Before the helmet hits the ground.

Let’s say it made for a slightly longer game.. How many wrongs would it right every weekend. It’s not just Cowboys games getting screwed with. It’s every game. Some of these calls could cost a win that cost you a playoff spot..

Our locker room is full of losers that blame others for their bad play and losses.

The coaches and "leaders" should have gotten ahead of this unless they share the same loser mentality.

I don't see this group of players winning anything. It's rotten to the core.
According to LVE Big Mike made reference to the refs as a reason why they lost! Great leadership there coach!
