Zimmer is a 4/3 D guy and was not really a Johnson coach, he was more of a Parcells coach so he might fit in better.

Would be highly surprised if Zimmer came. Not convinced he would want to work with the Jones family again and his 4-3 background (he was let go by Parcells because of this) is not really what is needed when you have a multiple front DEF

And please don't just name some famous DC that's available.

Who is the person that will best continue Quinn's philosophy/system? We just went through an offseason through the draft and free agency to suit how Quinn wanted the defense. How do we best continue this?
Nolan?

I don't think it is a given that Quinn will be gone. If he does there are some good people out there and in house. George Edwards is the SR. DEFENSIVE ASSISTANT

I can see Zimmer being the DC coach if he’s willing to take a coordinator position.

George Edwards used to coach under him in Minny and he is already here.

We all know Zimmer history with our organization.

I would be good with Fangio or Flores nonetheless. There’s pedigree there.
I love the Flores idea because we have a very YOUNG defense and he would relate best.

Parcells did not fire or let Zimmer go.
In fact Parcells kept him Zimmer on as DC when the Big Tuna arrived, even though Zimmer had no experience working with a 3-4 scheme.
Zimmer departed on his own to become ATL's DC.

He was actually kept by Parcells because he thought he could learn it, same as with Greg Ellis. Zimmer left for ATL when Phillips took over form Parcells. Parcells was a huge Zimmer fan.

Zimmer stayed in touch with Parcells long after leaving Dallas and has been a mentor to him. I got the wrong coach it was Wade not Bill!
