Well, I'm seeing a lot of post trying to convince people that the 49ers aren't very good. So if we win and people say we beat a bad team then we can only blame the ones trying to convince people right now that the 49ers aren't a good team for fanning that fire.
There’s a pattern of you missing the point. Read the OP and a few replies.

Clue: the point is not that the Niners aren’t that good. @mugsybows explains it more clearly in like the 4th post. If you don’t pick up on it I’ll explain it to you.

All these "49ers are not that good" threads could come back to haunt some people.

What if we lose in the playoffs to this team that everyone is trying to convince each other isn't that good?
Who is everyone? Everyone is saying how the 49ers are the worst matchup

I looked at that post.

I took it as another poster playing victim because the media doesn't respect the Cowboys when the Cowboys have not gave anyone any reason to respect them. That's earned. It's playoff time now. The Cowboys can shup people up or prove them right.

Its funny how if we beat those teams media is like who have they played?? Niners do it and it’s like omg this team won 7 of their last 9!!! CHAMPIONSHIP! Cowboys shouldn’t even show up. Im so ready for this game. Wish it was today.
But weren't many Cowboys crowing about three consecutive road wins despite the the competition level?

2021 NFL regular season is in the books. Cowboys and 49ers through their overall play qualified for the playoffs - along with twelve other teams.
All 14 teams are now 0-0. Their advancement through the postseason depends on their performance(s) that begin this weekend.

Everyone is so quick to point out that we won 6 games vs the NFC east... (mind you the eagles are a playoff team...)

But no one points out the 9ers wins...

Here is who the beat this year.
Lions
Eagles (week 2)
Bears
Jags
Vikes
Falcons
Texans
Bengals in OT
and the Rams twice (who they have owned under Mcvay)

That's a who's who of bad NFL teams. The Bengals and Rams are good, but the Bengals have proven to be very up and down.
They won 10 games and lost 7. DId you expect all their wins to be against the good teams they played and their losses to be against the bad teams?
They went 4-5 against teams with winning records and 6-2 against the rest. That looks pretty typical for a good team.
We went 5-4 against teams with winning records and 7-1 against the rest. Basically the same distribution.

No, but if you interact with sports-related content, including many fans on this page, you will hear about our record being a negative but the 49ers record being a positive. That isn't the case. They have beaten a lot of really bad teams. And their losses aren't that impressive either. Colts, Cards without Murrary or Hopkins, etc.

This post is more about the commentary around the game.

I would be worried if we were playing Jacksonville. But that’s how I roll. I hate losing.
Lol, yeah I got to admit I'm a little like that too. I don't stop worrying until triple zero on the clock and we have more points.

That’s a reasonable response. Just making sure you got the point.

Good job

Incredible they beat the Rams twice.

Then we are not good, as simple as that . 49’ers havent set the NFL world on fire , they have beaten some so so teams and a couple of good teams, the Rams I dont know , how after being up 17 let that one slip away. McVay could be arrogant for his own good at times.

if cowboys take care of business and put together a solid game in offense and defense we should be able to win easily.

Last week of the season is super weird too. I was watching both games and the Cardinals announcers were talking about the Rams game as much as their own. Emotion is such a huge part of the game and I wonder if there's a connection between the Rams collapse and their understanding that they had just won the division.

They also lost twice to both Cards and Seahawks…FWIW.
