Did Players Like Extra Game?

Quick thought, were the players happy with the league adding another game. Another game means more work, more strain on your body. With the pandemic going on, do you think players used this as a means to get off for a game???

I think they said for next season, it is capped at $203 million or about that. So it went up about $20 million if it stays that way.

Im guessing those guy making 5 million per year and up might not have wanted an extra game.

Those making less than a million IM sure didnt mind getting an extra game check.

They voted to approve the CBA, so why would they not like it then.

They voted to approve the CBA, so why would they not like it then.

you do know the CBA gets approved by a majority of votes, yes? Meaning the 10% of players getting paid 5 million or more per year(Thats a guess dont look it up and then come back to tell me im wrong) but those making the bucks could have all voted no, and the CBA could have still been approved.

True, but we will never know. But if you look at how the season unfolded, the NFL thinks it is a huge success, along with keeping the 7th team in the playoffs.

Doesn't mean it will be this was next season though.

I think it was a success. I think the 7th team is a success. We get a Monday night game out of this. Im not sure what there is not to like.

NO, players were not happy with the added game because it means additional wear and tear on their already worn-out bodies. You have to remember 98% of these players started playing this game when they were little kids and when you start adding up those years that a lot of nasty hits they've taken and by adding just more game to an already long season players are probably now thinking more about injuries than they are about records.

No. They played 1 less preseason game because of the Hall Of Fame game...
