Did Players Like Extra Game?

NO, players were not happy with the added game because it means additional wear and tear on their already worn-out bodies. You have to remember 98% of these players started playing this game when they were little kids and when you start adding up those years that a lot of nasty hits they've taken and by adding just more game to an already long season players are probably now thinking more about injuries than they are about records.

SAY THAT AGAIN!!!!

Quick thought, were the players happy with the league adding another game. Another game means more work, more strain on your body. With the pandemic going on, do you think players used this as a means to get off for a game???

Give me your thoughts, these players probably didn't want this extra game in the season, the owners surely did!!

Players want to be paid and know the extra game brings in more revenue same with the added playoff team it will create more revenue and players know they will get a bigger chuck of the added revenue.

Hater.
Dak did only play 15 1/2 game to get it though. Or is that against your agenda?
BUT there was an extra garbage time game to get that record, even worse against 2nd and 3rd stringers, nothing to beat the drum about.

I didn't hate week 17 as much as I thought I would.

More football. I guess it's hard to argue with that.

It doesn't matter if they liked it. Their union agreed to it and the players got to cash and extra game check.

Its probably like us being on salary and asked to work an extra day a week. I know they love the game (their job) but it is a job (just a darn nice paying one)

I'm curious what percentage of players actually even played all 17 to feel the effects/differences of the extended schedule. On top of normal injuries and normal wear-and-tear, you also had tons of guys sitting out a week or two for the virus.

Off the top of my head, I think only 4 or 5 of our serious players (starter level players) managed all 17. Then, in addition to those guys, there were a handful of pure special teamers and backup types.

I originally hated the idea of a 17 game season and an extra playoff team. However, last Sunday was the most entertaining final weekend that I can remember.

As far as the “garbage time” games are concerned. Garbage games at the end of the season didn’t just begin this year. The final
weekend of the year has been littered with useless games that meant nothing in terms of playoff seeding and starters being rested on some playoff teams.

Depends on the year…

Players that can get into the playoffs based on what they do in week 17 obviously do. Those that already qualified for the playoffs probably hate it.

Backup players that get to show this talent and make a statement, probably love it.

The league probably loves it with the extra money, like the London game, though players probably hate it. Fans probably loved it, especially when you get a game like the Raiders-Chargers.

you don't think romo had any garbage time stats? lmao.

the worst you can say about dak is that he wouldn't have gotten the record only because he got injured.

All QB's get them, the added game and the quality of the opponent and the obvious intent to get him that record is sad, you like the record great, LMAO, records are made to be broken just sad how he got it extra week and playing scrubs.
