The Billy waddy Game...Grrrrrrrrr. I also seem to remember TD getting poked in the eye in that game and not being able to play much of the 2nd half.
I remember two DBs renting into each other to spring Waddy and the Manster getting pancaked on that play.

The 1977 Cowboys were just a complete bad *** team...The Defense in that Superbowl was total demolition and domination.

If there is one fantasy match up that i wish we could make happen in my opinion would be the 77 Cowboys vs 85 Bears.

That would of been fun.

Not a playoff game, not a huge deal at all really, but it was against Washington, which is the original hate for me. It's just a play I'll always remember.

Larry "Bubba" Cole gets a pick six, and they threatened to throw him out of The Zero Club.

For Cole’s part, he jokingly blamed former teammates Blaine Nye and Pat Toomay for his retirement.

“We had a meeting of the Zero Club last December [shortly after his fourth touchdown],” Cole said. “And the guys gave me an ultimatum. They said I had to quit getting all this attention by April or I would have to retire.”

And led to one of the most memorable lines ever...

The lumbering 43-yard return in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winning touchdown. When asked afterward why there had been such a long wait between the third and fourth touchdowns of his career, the Zero Club’s Cole- perhaps uncharacteristically- delivered a memorable gem of a quote.

Anyone can have an off decade,
he famously joked.

Larry Brown with his two interceptions in the Super Bowl, one a pick 6...I could not believe it.
Larry Brown had two picks but he did not have a pick 6...Emmitscored twice and Novachek had 1

Larry took one to the 6 yard line

I clearly remember watching the Vikings/Cowboys play off game the week before at a bar in Virginia Beach with some friends and friends family and the Hail Mary!

"I closed my eyes and said a Hail Mary." Roger Staubach after the win.
I remember that game , too.
It is an iconic game, where "Hail Mary" pass was born.

Just watching football on a 30 inch standard definition TV back then was as good as it got. You didn't know any better but you enjoyed the game just the same.

You can't even remember how bad the picture was unless you go back and watch some old vhs tapes to see what you were missing. Couldn't miss something you never had back then.

Like fine wine, the Dec. 1972 Div playoff at Candlestick Park v 49ers. They thought they'd finally beaten Dallas. We watched on a black and white TV as Landry replaced Craig Morton with Staubach beginning of 4th quarter, down 28-13. And the Cowboys won 30-28 and Captain Comeback arrived.
One of the greatest games I remember, I was a freshman in college and the only Cowboy fan around.

James Washington picking up a tripod against the 49ers in the 1994 rematch. Did he really think that would hurt a grown *** man? Lol

After a playoff defeat, Everson Walls laughing and talking to the enemy. I think it was the playoffs. Landry didn't look very happy.

Even though we lost, George Teague, knocking T.O off the Star.

Larry Allen, as the announcer called it, "That's one of most impressive athletic feats I have ever seen,"

Troy basically getting his career ended by Lavar Arrington.

My man Michael Irvin laying paralyzed on the Vet turf while the Eagle fans cheered.

The "Bounty Bowl"

Halloween in the rain against the feared Eagles. Emmitt with that long game sealing TD.

"The Catch"

Emmitt's Super Hero performance against the Giants.

Randy White and Conrad Dobler going at it.

!992 DWA aka Defense With Attitude towels waving.

Singing "Should've Been a Cowboy" after SB27.

Ken Norton and Jimmy Jones standing "Back to Back" after SB28.

I remember my dad breaking my little rocking chair when Roger threw that crucial 3rd INT against the Steelers in the SB. That's what go me into football. Lol

So many more...

Great times.
The morning after we demolished the Bills in Super Bowl 27, I was driving to work and the radio station I was listening to was playing Thin Lizzy’s “The Boys Are Back In Town” with sound bites from the game sprinkled in during the instrumental only parts. I still get chills thinking about it. That was the greatest drive to work ever!

This game is bringing back many memories...I'm sure many of us have stories about the old days....it would be cool if we were allowed to share some to get the juices flowing... we could share stories about back in the day! Salud! Go Frikkin Cowboys!
It has been 27 years since these franchises last squared off in the postseason, but sports fans of a certain age will remember a period of time when these two teams were simultaneously the class of the NFL.
This is the 8th time 49ers and Cowboys have met in the postseason, tied for the second most of any matchup in the Super Bowl era to the nine games between the Rams and Cowboys.
Somewhat shockingly, this is the first time since 1998 that both teams are in the playoffs in the same season.
Under the guidance of Hall of Fame coach Jimmy Johnson, the Cowboys made a rapid ascent from a 1-15 laughingstock in 1989 to title contenders just three years later. Standing in their way were the mighty 49ers, title contenders for a decade-plus since their epic victory over the Cowboys in the 1981 NFC championship. The 49ers were now led by quarterback Steve Young, who had taken over the reins from Joe Montana and earned league MVP honors in 1992.

Played at a wet and muddy Candlestick Park (this becomes a theme), the Cowboys issued a changing-of-the-guard warning with a 30 - 20 victory
Troy Aikman threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns, Emmitt Smith rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown, and wide receiver Alvin Harper made a clutch play on a deep route to help propel Dallas to victory.

In the postgame locker room, cameras caught Jimmy Johnson yelling.... "How bought them Cowboys!
The Cowboys went on to win XXV11 over the Buffalo Bills for the team's first Super Bowl victory in 15 years.
