The worst part is there is no hope going forward

They blew up the D last year and now you blow up the OLine (less Martin). Smith needs to go too. Smith had his day and he's like Zeke, literally worn down to the bone. After this next year, if Dak is Dak, you trade or revise his contract and look for a new QB after next year. Keep churning to build the o-line and the d-line after next year. Quit wasting your first 3 picks on RB and WR positions.

Then we committ 15 penalties and watch Dak go into a shell still.

We need those things but those things give me no hope or think we can win a championship.
Aaron Rodgers has 1 super bowl. Dak is not a top QB but he is right in the mix with the 2nd tier QBs. So if Foles, Flacco, and Eli Manning can win super bowls so can Dak. We just need more pieces, and that's where I get frustrated with Jerry because we are always spending money on shiny things instead of filling the gaps on the roster.

Yes, 40M makes it harder to fill those gaps but that number isn't going to seem that large for long. Brady is the only player I'm aware of that took significantly below market to make sure he had pieces everywhere. But in any case, if you don't sign Dak who is better? If it's about hope, does anyone really believe the Jones can pick a QB. It seems like we have had great pickups in the draft, and all of our first round hits have been plan B's. We got Martin and Fredbeard because the player we wanted got grabbed. Parsons was a plan B. Jerry wanted to trade up for Paxton Lynch who couldn't even make it as a backup.

So I'm grateful for Dak. He isn't elite, but just like Eli, given time he can burn people. But like Eli he is going to need more pieces than the elite QBs.

I just have no idea where this team goes from here and the thought of starting this whole process over just makes me sick to my stomach.

They can’t just say this is good enough and if we clean up mistakes all will be well.

Lining up and doing the same thing over and over is just not the way and I think they have to fire McCarthy.

He’s been here 2 seasons and he was awful in year 1 and year 2 he beat a bunch of bad teams and nobody had an answer for the 2 high safeties. Also the lack of Pollard and playing Zeke was just criminal.

Dallas needs a culture change and they need a new face for this franchise right now but I know management believes in continuity and they get continuous results.

I just don’t know what they can do outside of a coaching change to give any hope to the fans.
Hire a new coach. Big Mike just turns the lights off at the building every night. He has no control or any say in this team. He is clueless.

Our dysfunctional ownership sells and pays our talent like they are SB talent and then hype them as such setting us all up for the disappointment. Then goes into damage control looking for scapegoats.

Is Jerry still the owner and gm? Yes

Is radio still your qb? Yes

Average outcomes are certain.

A real coaching change is necessary, but highly doubtful will happen. A coach with final roster control, so players know he controls their status.

Along as JJ is cheerleading on radio and telling everyone who will start accountability will not be had.

This team has never been held accountable for their actions, since Parcells. No coach can succeed when their authority is usurped by Jerry the clown.

Dak the player is just whatever. I’m not grateful for him because of his contract. He’s in the way of my team winning Superbowls because of his greed and the ownerships stupidity and willingness to play ball.

Dak the person and leader is great but he hurts my football team with his disappearing act in big games.

Many mistakes were made that need to be corrected in due time in order to have HOPE.......
If you think any coach can make our offense and Dak produce the points needed against good teams well Mxmas man!!!!
You cannot teach or coach TALENT......a player either has it or not.

In all fairness to McCarthy, his first season, he didn't have the normal off-season to work with his team due to Covid restrictions. Hard to coach a new team with no off-season training program and then on top of that, the starting quarterback, offensive line, and many other injuries derailed his first season. I think he deserves atleast one more FULL season to see what he can do to turn this thing around. He's a Superbowl winning coach, so he atleast deserves one more year.

Plenty of first year coaches had good seasons. He came out the gate sucking.

That's nonsense. There is always hope, especially with a team that made the playoffs.

That doesn't mean blind hope, blind enthusiasm or unrealistic expectations. Hope doesn't require burying our head in the sand, ignoring issues and overrating people. I think we all know several things, among them Conner Williams has to be replaced, the defense is still weak against the run, the run game needs to be more consistent for the offense to click, Dak isn't Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or Pat Mahomes et ….

I don't know -- when teams can rush 4 and get pressure that's never a winning formula.

100%

He’s need to be in a Jimmy G offense.

I think that or Tennessee offense. Tannehill isn’t worth a crap but he doesn’t have to be all the time. The only problem with this is that the Jones would want Zeke to be the bell cow. I want a new RB. A stable of them actually that can do lots of things. Use Lamb like Deebo. Coop is the big play guy. These long developers are a thing of the past. Brady gets the ball out quick. We are the exact opposite

The good news is that Dak's contract is really a 3yr plus options one. 2023 is his last season. So we've 2 years to find a QB in the draft. An ideal timeline is a 1st rounder sitting behind Dak in 22 and taking over as starter in 23. Start gearing towards challenging from 23 onwards.

We can hope that Dak improves his decision making ability, and improves his throw mechanics.
BTW: who is the cows' QB coach, is it Moore?
