Saves 20 million and only 2 million in dead money. It’s a no brainer.

It would be a bad move he’s our best receiver. CeeDee hasn’t shown he’s capable of being a number one. He drops way too many balls. He looks great one week and balls are bouncing off his hands like a tennis racket the next week. He’s becoming inconsistent. Our leading receiver yesterday was Dalton Schultz. That’s the second time that’s happened this season.

His contract is actually team friendly now too as long as he goes back to 80-1000. With little guarantee left, he will be willing to renegotiate, which would probably bring his average cap hits to 16M or so. If your trading him, the cavet is trading him to a team he will renegotiate with

Yes.

I think we should keep him though and get a play caller that features him after the run game which we need to build up by getting a drafted player with pedigree to be a 1, 2 punch with Zeke his last year or 2 here.

He's got trade value.

What exactly it is I don't know. But there's some.

Washington tried to sign him for more than we did.
Yeah, but we won’t get value. Other teams would, but this FO just doesn’t have that skill. Their skill is getting taken in a trade.

Gotta do it. He’s not real #1. Real #1 gets his every game. Part of it is our qb but you can’t pay him 20 mil - sign Wilson and Gallup for less than that.

Agreed. I heard PLENTY of Raiders fans on the radio last evening...saying stuff to the effect of "this is why we dealt Amari. In big games, where is he?"

Well, the Cowboys OL and Dak may have/probably have had something to do with that, but the point is nonetheless well taken on my behalf.

Love me some Coop -- but it's obvious we ain't going to the promised land with him. May not w/o him either, but at least Dallas will have more $$ to spend.

I do think keeping him is the right move. We are all frustrated with the offense the last half of the season, but creating holes isnt the awnser

If he believed in Dak as a leader...it is good GD well "connected".

"part of" the offense that never really featured him like other teams "feature" their #1 is all VERY GD CONNECTED!

"they don't give me the ball enough"...somehow...is NOT connected? You are nuts, ya ice chucker.

Really, ice chucker? I don't even know what that means. He's literally top 26 in WR stats which also includes another Cowboy. There are 32 teams so he's getting #1 WR stats on most teams. No, he's not top 10 but he also doesn't have the talent of some of those top 10 players. Regardless, he's putting up numbers in line with most number one WRs. He was also out for 3 games with covid so his numbers could/should have been better

I agree on CeeDee, but the problem is the $20mm they’re going to have to pay Coop. It becomes a question of whether they can offset the loss of Cooper by using that money to improve another area like the OL.

Since when does your "best receiver" say ship like this?:

“I think I can do more in the red zone if I get some targets. I can do more on third down if I get the targets. To help the offense be what we need to be, I think I can definitely help change that.”

Your number 1 "best receiver" shouldn't need to express that sentiment. He is NOT HAPPY HERE.

He's happy being a Cowboy. He's just not happy with where the ball is going.

He was hurt and playing so they couldn't feature him by game 5 as much. Then he had his Covid absences. A QB when not practicing with you and having to use the other options loses the connection and anticipation of that WR. I'm no football coach but I think those variables played a factor.

Even Lamb since the KC game, getting his concussion hasn't been on the same page with Dak since he left that game.

Dak since New England hasn't been on the ball with anyone other than Cedric Wilson and Dalton Shultz and guess what? They're both on expiring deals.

I don't think you move him. I think it would benefit the team to find an OC that could scheme him into use more. I sat and watched game after game where it felt like the opponent had WRs running free all over, yet, there seemed to be a defender on our WRs every single time they caught the ball.

As a Boise native I'll always root for Kellen Moore but I think a divorce from him is best for both parties right now.

Coop, Gallup and DLaw should be gone, need the money to rebuild the trenches. We are learning skill position players are a dime a dozen, except for QB...where we are screwed.

Coop would be a huge loss. Dak needs weapons and Coop is our top one. I wish they could get out of Zeke's contract. I know he’s not healthy but he looked washed up yesterday. He averaged under 3 yards a carry yesterday.

OH....he is VERY happy as a cowboy just not happy where the ball is going? Welll...thank you for getting us in the mind of Amari! Separating those little details out for us!

In other words...happy with a fat check but NOT happy on the field? #1 WR NOT happy "where the ball is going"...that's very good news! We are in good shape there...no worries.

$16 million in savings, not 20.

And given their cap problems given they are over the cap by $13 million, Cooper definitely looks like a candidate to get canned.

But then they have to come up with the cap space to bring Gallup back. You can't go into 2022 with just Lamb and a bunch of JAGs at WR.

Why? Dak is an elite QB, he can overthrow, underthrow or just plain refuse to throw to Jags just as well as WR like Cooper, have faith.. Dak will make them worse, it's what he does.

How many did Pollard average?

When you spend a mid first round pick on a wr that makes your current number one expendable.

Cedee has certainly not progressed the way we wanted but it is what it is. You can't be stacked at all the positions
