If we let Dan Quinn go it will be a huge mistake

The offense specifically needs the coaching help. And that also falls on McCarthy. If Quinn is to be promoted to HC, we could bring up Joe Whitt at DC. But my concern is the WR and O line coaches and the OC.

Quinn’s a great DC.

Average HC that almost won a Super Bowl with an offensive team.

If we let him take a head coaching offer it's a huge coaching mistake.

Man are we in for a loooooong offseason.
It's pretty clear that Jerry's priority is keeping Moore to be the next Garrett.

Our next chance is probably a solid decade away....and that's just for a chance.

His HC choices have sunk this franchise for three decades.

Never gets it right. Now we will lose Quinn just so we can keep Fat Mike for one more year, but he figures his bet is hedged by having Moore.

I'd actually be SHOCKED if Moore impressed anyone in an interview enough to get an offer. Certainly the ON the field results aren't there.

Even if he does Jerry will talk him out of it the same way he talked Garrett out of going to Baltimore.

Next season in Dallas ought to resemble 2010.

Saying we have "no chance" was always used a little loosely for me....but I'm really starting to think we really don't.

Really the only hope I have at this point is that maybe the kid won't mind a real coach in here.

Unfortunately, we will lose the wrong coordinator but Fangio would be a fine replacement for Quinn.

Bottom line....

Out of McCarthy, Moore and Quinn who is the best coach?

It's Quinn and not all that close.

The decision maker doesn't see it that way. Promise.

If we do let him go it will be the biggest coaching mistake since every single hire other than Parcells.

Dan is a true leader. He turned our D around in one year. The players love him. He Loves the game.

Jerry. Please don’t screw this up again. Fire Mike. Keep Quinn.

Please

yes he helped but don’t kid yourself
This defense got zero sacks and 1 gifted turnover from a statue QB
I’m ok if he leaves

Quinn leaving could be bad. Quinn AND Edwards leaving would be bad.

I like Dan, more importantly the players seem to like and respect him greatly.

I’m a little surprised at how much attention he’s getting as a HC. He’s obviously well respected around the league. He certainly helped turn around a historically poor defense in one season. He was also greatly assisted by what a appears to be a generational type talent that fell into the Cowboys lap.

he did get Atlanta to a SB in 2016, which also happens to be one of the greatest collapses in American sports history. He also was on the opposite sideline last season for a game that defies belief when Dallas came back on him.

Good coach for sure, good head coach? People think this guy is Lombardi

The best HC out of the 3 is Mike McCarthy.

Resume wise and even DQ said how much MM has himself all over this team.

Does the league have to approve coach contracts? I ask because if it were a matter of paying coaches $30M per year to keep them as a coordinator (I understand this is outlandish but see the bigger point) then the league would step in to eliminate this quickly in the spirit of competition.

Literally the only thing Jerry can do is money whip him. I’m sure he will try but ultimately Dan is not here for a long term stay

Wouldn't letting Sean Payton leave rank up there as a big coaching mistake too?

I don't think Quinn lands a job. Most teams are looking for offensive minded head coaches.

McCarthy is a buffoon and Moore is a mopey nerd.

Doesn't matter. The path for Moore to be the next Garrett is crystal clear as Jerry's master plan.

We've all seen the movie before. It's long and stinks and the ending is really bad.

I really can't believe he is going to take his final shot with him but quintupling down on dumb is how 'his way' is defined.
