He’s talking 3 steps snd fire on a slant with a guy draped on a WR like Irvin and Harper. I’ve posted this 3 times, Lamb is still great, he is just stuck in a crap game plan where they refuse to run crossing routes and slants.

It’s obvious that Dak was scared the last half of the season to make a mistake. His best balls on Sunday were when he planted his foot and rocketed it in there. As I said last week leading up he had to just let it go. He didn’t do that. The Oline sucks however and that’s all apart of it.

Im just ready to see a new offense already. I was upset when Mike came here he wasn’t going to call plays.

Sounds about right. Throw it deep to Lamb and see what happens. I think Dak threw into double coverage with Wilson. Single coverage on Lamb is a much stronger bet.

I've been calling for more isolation of Lamb and Cooper all season. Put in the Hulk Package and put Cooper and Lamb out wide, isolating the DBs covering them. Make teams choose to double or single cover Cooper and Lamb. If they double them, run. If they single them, pass.

As Aikman said, sometimes football is really not that hard. Schemes are not all about plays. You better scheme matchups too. We have two legitimate WR#1s who will hurt you if you single cover them. But we didn't exploit their talent.

Agreed. Everything is about analytics and statistics and scheme and blah blah blah.

Analyze the weakness on the defense and exploit it. Exploit the 1 on 1 matchups. CeeDee was a 1st rd pick and has #1 WR potential. The fact he only got 1 catch is ludicrous

How can you blame Moore? He's calling plays that get guys open. He can't throw it to them too.

From the mouth of our ‘elite’ QB himself, from basically his whole career here:

"I don't know if any team in the league necessarily needs a No. 1 receiver," Prescott said via Pro Football Talk. "It's about getting the ball out, spreading the ball around, keeping the defense on its toes."

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...the-league-necessarily-needs-a-no-1-receiver/

We'll get him the ball as it comes up in our offense," Prescott said Wednesday, via the Dallas Morning News. "We're not gonna single out and say Dez has to get the ball on this play."

This was supposed to be Dak’s shining quality, that he doesn’t force the ball to any WRs. So expect the Dak-stans to do a full about face and say it’s Moore’s fault for Dak not trusting his WRs.

I mean this is nothing new. Aikman and guys like Chris Collinsworth say it over and over again wen broadcasting our games that Dallas group of WRs are among the best in the league and can win their one on one matchups regularly.

But Troy, analytics say you're much better off throwing to your 4th WR and having him blindly heave it across the field towards another player. That's how you win in this league now. Pay no attention to the teams that are feeding Kupp, Chase, Adams, Evans, Diggs, Hill, Kelce, etc. That's a losing formula.

Dak was terrified to throw the ball though Troy. That’s the difference.

He can’t let go of the ball until he sees a WR wide open.

As a broadcaster, Aikman is about as awful as Dak is at reading defenses. That being said, it’s a complete clown show when people use stats to argue Dak is better than Aikman. Aikman would have zero problems throwing top 300 yard games on average in this era. He was that accurate when they were still wearing those huge shoulder pads, let alone with this modern technology.

I don’t know about you but I loved it when Dak plays hero ball and throws a bomb into double coverage to Wilson.
I didn't. If it was Dez, or Megatron, or someone that I knew would go get it...I would be ok with it. But we do NOT have physical WRs. Which is why we struggle inside the 10 yard line throwing into the endzone. Your WRs should give you confidence that either they are going to come down with the ball...or no one comes down with the ball.

Again, not absolving Dak of his play...but these guys are not guys I would trust like he did Wilson on that play.

Per the Dak-stans on this site, we run a lot of comeback routes. I thought the scheme was the problem.

I thought Lamb sucks.

So is it Moore’s fault that Dak isn’t throwing against single coverage when he sees it?

Is Aikman saying Dak’s stats are inflated because e got WRs that can win their one on one matchups all day long?

I mean isn’t that what Amari said? Throw me the damn ball, because I got opportunities?

Isn’t that what Dez said, but he was declared a cancer. I though Dak’s ‘shining glory’ was in the fact he doesn’t ‘force the ball’ to a single WR and he didn’t need a number 1 And he ‘takes what the defense gives him”…

How many excuses you going to make for your ‘elite’ QB?

Most, if not all of the comments you made in this post I had seen first hand in Viet Nam. You'd find it resting in the bottom of a 50 gallon oil drum that was sawed in half. Diesel fuel was added to burn it for sanitary reasons.

When I read your posts I can still smell the diesel. There is a more than good chance those barrels contained something more valid than what you normally say.

I know this shouldn't happen and receivers should go all-out every play, but human nature being what it is, receivers aren't going to run their routes aggressively if they know the quarterback isn't going to throw them the ball.

Either Lamb runs crappy routes and can't get open or he gets open and he's not open enough for Dak to stick the throw. A QB in the playoffs who is down on the scoreboard needs to suck it up and stick some throws if he wants to turn the game around.

I'd love to see a tape of the game that truly shows whether the wide receivers were being tightly covered. Also FWIW, there is no way you two top receivers have only 5 catches in the playoffs when they are supposed to be the strength of the team.

Yeah if a receiver does that he’s not for the NFL….that may be ok for a high school player but that’s the crap that got Dez cut….not giving his all and then when the ball comes his way he drops it.
