You need a QB that can beat defenses when they sell out to stop the run.

Dak, in year 7, should not look this bad and this confused.

You're right about Zeke. Him being washed combined with a suspect o-line has exposed Dak.
Our ownership knew his flaws but still over paid him.

It’s why we really can’t take this dysfunctional organization serious anymore.

Dak’s football IQ is average at best. His pocket presence isn’t very good. His accuracy is questionable. For supposedly being a mobile/athletic guy he struggles to escape pressure and seems hesitant to run when he needs to. Some praise his leadership but I don’t see why as the team often seems uninspired and unprepared especially when competing against good opponents.

He isn’t going to become any better. He’s been in the league a while now. I just don’t understand why he was given such a ridiculous contract. Seems like a desperate move in hindsight.

In the end he’s our QB though so I hope he can get it together.
he had a total collapse of any player I have seen in a very long time. he was on fire early in the year. he was good last year. he was improving. and then since the denver game, it was a comedy show. his foot work, the most basic fundamental for a QB became worse than I have seen in high school kids. I pointed to that multiple times, on how bad his foot work was. and it didn't just become bad, it became worse progressively. you do that as a QB, you are inaccurate. then that reverted him back to 2018 when he was holding on to the ball too much, because he didn't trust himself to make the throws and had to see player wide open to throw it and even then he missed often. he used to be good throwing on the run, but he became bad and was better from the pocket (when he was forced to kind of set his feet before throwing). moving to the right was a wild ride, high throws, too far throws. throws to the ground. he was plain bad running to his right and throwing. all of that led to him playing without confidence, lack accuracy, hurry his throws or hold too long, not trust himself and plain sucking.

I maybe over simplifying, but he has to go back and clean up his foot work, else he will sink further. play more desparate and collapse even further than he already has. yes. its that simple.

Dak wanted 40 mil. He held out for that people. Remember we offered 30-35 and he said “nope I’m worth more”.

He should not be immune to criticism. It’s the nature of the salary and the qb position.

He wants it to stop play better.

Trade Martin, Tron, Collins, Lamb and Jarwin.

Fill every offensive position with league minimum players.

Bring Dak, Zeke, and Cooper in for a meeting and explain to them that their 80 mil per year salaries have necessitated these moves and they are expected to earn their salaries.
that's vindictive against those players....how the heck does that help the cowboys? you think this is going to work!!! seriously.....childish

And yet, Pearson admits his confidence in Prescott isn't as strong as it once was.

"It's wavered some towards the end of the season," he said. "I was really high on (Prescott) ... when they first drafted him. I was excited about that because of what he did at Mississippi State. He brought that winning attitude there and I thought he could bring that here."

Did he really talk about the "winning attitude" at Mississippi State?

Love Drew, but don't point to MSU as any kind of blue print for what Dak needs to do in Dallas.

That would be a sight to behold!

well, the problem is teams stopped the run with 4 or 5 players....when we passed they dropped 7, rushed 4 and still got to the QB.... and the QB didn't dare make some throws he had to penalize them and held on too long....

I am not excusing Dak's play. he was bad and he was bad last half of the season. but the OL needs some work. Williams and Biadasz suck worse than Dak and when Dak didn't have strong players around him, he couldn't lift them. he is not Roodgers and we all understnad that

There was a small group saying the contract was ridiculous last spring. It seems more and more are agreeing to that now. If only Jerry wouldn't have paid him we could have some options.

Everyone knew the contract was ridiculous, but if he played up to 75-80% of the expectation it would be ok. Unfortunately he's playing more like a 15-20 mil QB right now and it ended up being crippling.

Anyone want to explain why our ownership overpaid an average QB?

Well again I'm wanting to know why our ownership wont get a real GM and Pay for a head coach that has control of his team first....Then maybe we can start getting real info on what players we have.

That applies to Cooper and Lamb.

Feed them when they are single covered and if the pass was at least decent; hold those two (Cooper and Lamb) accountable if they fail to deliver.

Force opposing Ds to switch to Dime or some other pass coverage to force the Cowboys to beat them with one knee Zeke and one foot Pollard.

Dak should be embarrassed that opposing Ds are more afraid of our running game with injured RBs (instead of Dak)
