Cerebral quarterbacks seem to understand that you take what the defense gives you. Dak seems more intent on throwing to his guys out of peer pressure or some other thought process in his brain.

It was obvious watching the game the Cowboys didn’t show up. They came out flat right off the bat. You would have never thought it was a playoff game for them.

I hope he is if his play warrants it.

I hope it gets so bad that he requests a trade and we find a team stupid enough to do it.

Remember when people said Dak's contract "will be a bargin in 2 years"? My goodness was they lost in space or what? That contract will NEVER be a bargin. Paying that bum elite QB money will go down as one of Jerrys biggest mistakes.

No team is trading for Dak.
That contract money of his just gotta pretend the Cowboys work with a lesser cap than the rest of the league and find another QB.
It's gonna get real nasty for Prescott out there, to a point where even Jerry will OK his benching.....
Pressure is already started to unravel him no way he survives next season.....

What agenda is that? This isn't Trent Dilfer's analysis, it's Kurt warner. Sometimes when you are far superior than someone else, you can critique them. It's like a student/teacher kind of thing. If you think Dak is playing on the same level as Kurt did when he played, then you have Cowboy Bias. Because the two quarterbacks aren't even in the same universe. Only a Cowboy fan would think differently.

"/s" means I'm being sarcastic. I used the same arguments I see from his apologists.

Is Jerry going to do that?
No
That’s why I ended my post with sarcasm moniker
But many here will try to make you believe it’s a simple as that or that it’s the only way to improve

It will always come back to the one constant

Dak needs to use his legs or he's going to have same issues going forward. And when I say he has to use his legs, I'm talking more about getting out of the pocket quickly to pass when things are breaking down. Throwing accurately on the run has been one of his biggest assets and he wasn't able to do that after his injury.

People say it was Denver that exposed Dak and the offense, but I actually think it was the Patriots. Belichick is a master at using different fronts and disguising coverages to confuse the QB and make them hold the ball longer. Even though Dak had a good game, if you rewatch the game, he was not sure of his reads in that game and WRs weren't as open. Basically for the same reasons Warner is mentioning in this video (bad play design, QB not seeing things quickly). The difference is he got out of the pocket quickly and was able to make a lot of plays on the run when things broke down.

I think Fangio saw this and knowing Dak's injury situation, bet on Dak not being able to make plays on the run as effectively. And he was right. Dak was reluctant to run and also miss easy throws on the run that he used make in his sleep time and time again after the injury.

I have been saying for a while that Dak's biggest issue is his refusal at times to get the ball to the outside WRs. He passes up on far too many 1-on-1 matchups out there and I believe defenses know it.

You see it over and over again on the breakdowns. Not sure if he just doesn't understand the coverage or lacks the confidence on some of those throws because a lot of his overthrows appear to come in those situations as well.

Look how open Cooper is on this play OMG.....

Agreed but not an easy throw for Dak - to throw back across his body moving opposite way - not sure if designed roll out but he had protection enough to plant and deliver to Coop though

It's incredible how much Warner pointed out the Cowboys running the exact same route concept time and time again throughout the game, and the Niners had it snuffed out almost every single time.

No creativity with this offense.

He is Ryan Tannehill.

Fine when he has a dominant OL and run game.

Not very good otherwise.

The day someone decided he was a drop back and win the game himself with his arm type of QB was fatal.

Even Tannehill costs 25 million per ......as would Dak if the situation wasn't bungled by the master negotiators.

I'm not seeing SF disguising a lot in that video. Also seeing a lot of missed opportunities before pressure is a concern.

Also pointed out how time and time again the QB made the wrong read. Do you think DAL is the only team to run the same plays multiple times a game?

What's more troubling is that they had to have seen what Fred Warner was doing during the game yet they didn't adjust and take advantage of his tendencies.
