Basically what I’m hearing Kurt say is Kellen is a fantastic passing game coordinator and does a great job of scheming receivers open. That said he’s a terrible OC at this stage because everything he calls is predictable, and never runs plays to set up other plays.

More Warner on 105.3 the Fan talking about his break down on Dak and the Offense vs Niners. He gives more insight on what he broke down.

He is neither right or wrong from the 5 minutes he spent on this. Anyone who puts more credence is an idiot

Pretty much. Somone on one of the Cowboys podcasts said similar things about KM.

There is no reason the shell coverages should change an offense. Cover 2 just means you go deeper. You'd think running zone coverage just kills an offense based on what we read around here. Warner said it opened up the entire playbook.

Basically he said it seems like "Kellen's" playbook looks like a collection of plays...and that they really don't run multiple plays off of one set......and I would agree. Too many people have input in the offense.... and it shows.

I've come to the conclusion....either the Cowboys trust Kellen Moore with his offense going forward....or they don't. But this....offense by committee crap....has got to stop. And who knows....maybe some of you crybabies just might get your wish...Kellen can take his #1 offense with him....wherever he goes.....and we will see how Dak fairs without him....and then you can enjoy the Doug Nussmeier /McCarthy offense. Have fun with that....

So he said with the coverage Sf had it was smart not to go down field that often because that’s what their defense is designed to prevent. But on the flip side there should’ve been plenty of opportunities underneath of the secondary to attack if Dak just trust what he see and let it loose.

Huge get on the radio this afternoon. Shout out to Bobby Belt for getting him on the show so quickly.

Incredible segment.

Kurt really didn't say anything new....that hasn't been said...here. We all know the problems.....Too many people have input in the offense....and Kellen is stuck trying to make it all work.....with a QB that has a tendency to change plays regardless.

Throw in our O-line inconsistencies....and penalties....It's amazing we made the playoffs.

Not what Kurt said.
So what was your take away? I didn't watch all the way to the end so maybe the last few minutes he completely switched what he was saying. He literally said they do most things out of same formations, similar looks. Gave an example of Fred Warner getting tips on plays where the back swung out to the front side and slid his coverage every time. Basically said the Cowboys didn't have a complement off of that play, and thats been a theme for this team. Also said that Kellen has done a great job of getting receivers wide open by design. To me that means great pass game coordinator, still learning on the job as an OC. I heard him talk the pros & cons of Dak, followed by the Troys comments on Irvin and 1 on 1 coverage, but i'm not sure im wrong....I'm open for the feedback if im missing the mark though.

Football is not complicated or a grocery store bagger could not be in the Hall of Fame.

Dak did not do the simple things of getting the ball to the RB to get the 49ers LB from dropping 15-20 yards down field to stop Cee Dee Lamb. Cooper was open a lot. Just like Irvin was open a lot.

Also seems like from listening. Dak for some reason has just started to play very tentative. Instead of playing aggressive. I go back to week 1, he played that game loose and not to lose. he played relaxed.

But on his extended video, a) Moore’s play design on numerous occasions ran each receiving option into a defender forcing Dak to try and beat the coverage with a throw. b) Dak makes the wrong reads at times and holds on to the ball too long missing the wide open receiving options

Excellent segment. Have been saying it for a while...I would try to bring Warner in to work with Dak and the offensive staff.

Everyone admires and respects his story. His demeanor seems such that even when he's negatively critiquing things, it doesn't rub people the wrong way...and in today's society, that's a plus trait. But he also doesn't shy away from saying what he thinks.
