JJ should’ve never given him the deal. It would’ve made him look bad if he let Dak walk after he broke his ankle.

It wouldn’t have made him look bad.

He’d look really smart right now had he not done that deal.

Instead he’s stuck with a Jimmy G type of impact QB making Mahomes money.

Not sure about anyone else, but I really wanted us to go after Stafford years ago before he was resigned and then a couple years after that when the word was out that he could be had....I would take him hands down over Dak, and this has absolutely nothing to do with what we are currently seeing from him...always thought he got a bad rap. And then there is always the video below that constantly should remind everyone that you cannot suddenly learn to be accurate....Dak isn't, and never will be.

Would have gone further if Romo wasn’t tossed aside.
There’s no guarantee, but there’s no doubt it was the smart and the right decision to go with Romo to every well managed football organization. Listening to the media, a majority of it filled with anti-Cowboy elements, is just asinine. When most of them are suggesting that the team should stay with the “hot hand”, that’s when you should do the opposite. Winning in football requires smart, objective, and rational decisions. Sometimes emotion and that gut instinct tells you to try something that may be different and it works, but those are few and far between and they aren’t necessarily contrary to reason. This was. Expecting a rookie QB to win a SB was sheer madness. It was never a question of Dak not doing a great job as a rookie. It was a question of how much better such a team with a veteran QB with one of the highest ratings in NFL history could be that was stupidly left in doubt. Because even if Romo got injured (possible) or didn’t play well (unlikely), you could always go back to Dak.

Kyler Murray being a bum does not make me feel better about Dak being a bum.

Neither QB is a bum. Both had bad playoff games. Both were having MVP seasons until they were injured and neither returned to form. It’s as simple as that. You weren’t calling either QB a bum when they were playing their best football this season.

I don't "hate" Dak. I didn't "hate" Romo. But I loved Aikman and Roger Staubach.
I don;t know if I'll ever love Dakota. He's got the money to hire the "whatever" to make him better.

I wonder if the team will bail on him... When/If that happens... it's all over.

And yet, Pearson admits his confidence in Prescott isn't as strong as it once was.

"It's wavered some towards the end of the season," he said. "I was really high on (Prescott) ... when they first drafted him. I was excited about that because of what he did at Mississippi State. He brought that winning attitude there and I thought he could bring that here."

I have zero respect for a guy that cried his way into the HOF. Should have never let the fool in. LOL

But are you smart enough to understand that both Aikman and Roger had INCREDIBLE all world teams around them which allowed them to freely show all that they could do?

Hell Aikman basically handed the ball off the Emmitt his entire career.

How many other QB's in the league now, do you suppose would have done better than Dak did, with our current team, against the Niners??

He cried because he belonged in the HOF and thought he was never going to get in; with his last snub.

The Eagles WR got in before Pearson and Pearson was a member of the All 70s Team.
