To me, it's the perfect example of how nepotism can be so destructive.
So true. There’s a reason why most large successful organizations have nepotism rules. It is destructive because it ruins accountability and meritorious service. Jobs are given according to DNA, not merit. It’s fundamentally bad.

If this were a small family business, maybe you can have some nepotism. But if you are serious about winning championships, nepotism is kryptonite.

Jimmy G beat Aaron Rodgers, so much for the "all about the QB" simplified thinkers on this board.

Is the QB important? Of course he is, it's the most important job in football. Is that all you need? Obviously, not. Such simplifications are reserved for the acerebral.

So the Cowboys are not only short at QB, they're short at other positions too.

While Jerry wrestles over his coaches, realize this team has more flaws than you want to believe. Then ask yourself if old Jerry can fix them.

This team is screwed. I don't like it, you don't like it, but that's our reality.
We have tons of free agents,
We won't be as good as last year

After these upsets today, here’s some ripe perspective I hope the Jones boys get tonight: Joe Burrow wasn’t even born the last time that the Dallas Cowboys reached a Conference Championship Game.

Burrow has literally lived his whole life, won a Heisman and National Championship at LSU, got drafted into the NFL by the Cincinnati Bengals, and still beat the Cowboys to a conference championship.

Earth to Jones boys….that small group of teams who haven’t done squat in over a quarter of century just got smaller. And your #1 in revenue team is still on it.

Find a mirror, that set of curtains you don’t like, and stop playing like you know what you’re doing and get serious about turning this thing around.

Who is calling these upsets???? I picked 4 road dogs to win this weekend....2-0 so far.....

Jerry is a great salesman. It’s the only way he’s kept this fan base hoping. Every passing year it gets harder and harder to sell his snake oil.

And yes, this team has talent issues at multiple positions. And is being led by a soon to be 80 year old “GM” who thinks he’s a “football guy” because of his bank account. And hires all his kids as executives with lifetime contracts regardless of results.

What could possibly go wrong with this formula? LOL!

I hate to admit that I'm enjoying Jerry getting his massive ego shoved up his dark side, with no lube.

This is how he wanted it, so he could get "football guy" credit, and he's proven he can't do it.

Jerry has 3 three rings thanks to Jimmy. He should be thankful, but can't accept it.

I'm done with Jerry.

I can see your point. But I believe we will better by the end of next season.

We're getting rid of a lot of the Garrett guys hopefully and if we draft like we have the last 2 drafts, we'll have more competitive players that fit this current HC better.

I was thinking the same thing, watching Garrop win.

I'm not sure.......IF we aren't, I think losing coaches will have more impact than players. Let's say we lose, LVE, Coop and Gregory ....its not like they put up All-Pro stats. Besides, perhaps we can replace them with players a bit hungrier/cheaper. For example, I'm willing to let Coop walk if I can get resign Wilson and get Gallup on a one-year deal.

Can Gallup play with his knee injury?
I am thinking about all those defensive players we signed on one year deals.

Football 101: “Teams that controleth the trenches doth usually win playoff games. Teams that can block and tackle better than their opponents doth usually win championships. Teams with good defenses hath the greatest chance to winneth”.

I know you been preaching that sermon for years brother. And you are correct! Wide receivers don’t win championships.
