Incredible point. Also very depressing. Unbelievable it's been that long.

After these upsets today, here’s some ripe perspective I hope the Jones boys get tonight: Joe Burrow wasn’t even born the last time that the Dallas Cowboys reached a Conference Championship Game.

Burrow has literally lived his whole life, won a Heisman and National Championship at LSU, got drafted into the NFL by the Cincinnati Bengals, and still beat the Cowboys to a conference championship.

Earth to Jones boys….that small group of teams who haven’t done squat in over a quarter of century just got smaller. And your #1 in revenue team is still on it.

Find a mirror, that set of curtains you don’t like, and stop playing like you know what you’re doing and get serious about turning this thing around.
Paul Brown is notoriously the cheapest owner in the NFL and the Bills are in a stadium dispute where they threatened to move to Austin in 2 years (which would never happen).

The ideas that the front office is the reason for all that ails this team is laughable. Bengals and Bills have some of the worst support in the league. But their coaches scheme it up and players are tough.

Burrow was the first overall pick....they suffered throw several losing seasons and ended up with first over all pick...if you can some how reach into your back pocket and pull out a 1st over all pick, I would highly appreciate it, oh and make sure its in a year that a good, top pedigree QB like burrows is coming out.....I will be waiting

I probably have less confidence in this franchise after the divisional games yesterday than I did prior to the games.

I don’t think it’s possible for the Jones twins to build a football team as physical and gritty as the Niners. That doesn’t sell jerseys

9 Traits of a Narcissist (you know who)
  1. Grandiosity (pretty obvious)
  2. Excessive need for admiration (no brainer)
  3. Superficial and exploitative relationships (don't know)
  4. Lack of empathy (not sure)
  5. Identity disturbance (for sure)
  6. Difficulty with attachment and dependency (?)
  7. Chronic feelings of emptiness and boredom (maybe, excessive JW blue is a sign)
  8. Vulnerability to life transitions/changes (absolutely)
  9. Narcissistic personality disorder is also a significant risk factor for suicide and suicidal attempts.(won't touch this one)

The Bills owner does not call all the shots from jocks to socks and hot dogs and stayjum curtains like ours does. The bengals owner is also their GM, and he’s the second worst owner in the league to ours. He’s just finally gotten lucky. So our owner is bad and unlucky.

Psst. The cowboys owner doesn’t call all the shots anymore either. That’s just the narrative they want you to think. I know this from one of Jerry’s oil business partners

And anyone that thinks Mark Davis and Danny Snyder aren’t the 2 worst owners in all of sports lose credibility.

Literally the best and worst thing that could happen for Dallas Cowboys fans would be for Mike Brown calling Jerry Jones and teasing him with, "My team is in the AFC Championship Game. Where's your team?" That poking would gnaw away at Jones' narcissism. Like Jones, Brown is another owner who made himself his team's general manager. The irony would be thick enough for Jones to viciously ask himself, "Why isn't that me?"

Brown is 86 though. Jones is 79. In his head, Jones would quickly comfort himself with the conclusion, "Well. I'll be around as long as Mike, so I got a few more years to match him."

So true. There’s a reason why most large successful organizations have nepotism rules. It is destructive because it ruins accountability and meritorious service. Jobs are given according to DNA, not merit. It’s fundamentally bad.

If this were a small family business, maybe you can have some nepotism. But if you are serious about winning championships, nepotism is kryptonite.

this may be true, but what’s it matter when we must abide by the golden rule.

Jerry will never build a team that can win in the playoffs especially under less than ideal conditions. He has to have flash and sizzle…. a no-name but mean defense won’t sell jerseys. He is all glamour and no grit.

Jimmy G beat Aaron Rodgers, so much for the "all about the QB" simplified thinkers on this board.

Is the QB important? Of course he is, it's the most important job in football. Is that all you need? Obviously, not. Such simplifications are reserved for the acerebral.

So the Cowboys are not only short at QB, they're short at other positions too.

While Jerry wrestles over his coaches, realize this team has more flaws than you want to believe. Then ask yourself if old Jerry can fix them.

This team is screwed. I don't like it, you don't like it, but that's our reality.
i do not see jerry fixing anything. his fix was to hire an old retread coach and how did that work. he has no idea what the real problem is himself and the way he still operates the team.

I used to post regularly on this site as you can tell by my post count. I haven't logged in in quit a while nor made a post in maybe 2 years? I came back here and after reading Bob's post which I agree with BTW, I wanted to share my thoughts. I no longer believe anything Jerry or the majority of the Kool aide drinking fans have to say about this team anymore. The culture in Dallas has been a problem ever since Jimmy left. That is when Jerry finally took over everything from nuts to whatever the heck he said. Since then it has been a disaster. If you created a chart of the Cowboys like a stock chart, it would scream short this sucker. As long as Jerry lives, I think it will remain this way. He over pays players who perform in their contract year then go silent. This team is littered with over paid and under performing players of said contracts. Watching the Kurt Warner expose on Dak and the Cowboys that he released recently about the San Fran game ought to infuriate Cowboy fans. But it won't, many will protect their boy and blame everything else but him as usual. Attention to detail is non existent on this team. It has been this way since Jimmy left. HELLO, ANYONE HOME. Bill Parcells re-instilled it then it was gone again when he left. Why? Because of JERRY JONES. I cannot stand that shallow, hollow, characterless, immoral, wannabe man. He literally disgusts me. The Cowboys that I grew up loving, that the likes of Tom Landry and Roger Staubach polished into a dynasty and top tier football franchise has all been tarnished by Jerry Jones. Nothing will change, next year will be a repeat. What is beyond amazing to me is that many fans will forget this debacle, just like they do every year, will drink the new kool aide that the idiot Dallas media will hand them to drink, and will start their unsubstantiated delusion all over again only to be let down once again at seasons end. It is a viscous cycle. The insanity that anyone thinks this team will change is astounding. The mind control is very deep I know. I jumped off that bandwagon last year and watched this team this year with much less expectations. I saw the delusion mounting in all the youtubers, I knew what was coming. I wanted them to win as I have for 50 years now, but I knew they wouldn't. Despite being told over and over and over how good this team is, I knew they were an average team with a few good players. It is just the programming that goes on by the media and the Jones clan to keep your dollars heading their way. The reality though is they are not a good team and more importantly they are a horrible franchise. Their weaknesses ALWAYS get exposed by better teams. So, carry on as you wish. Ignore me, ban me, block me, do what you want, I don't care. Hopefully more long time fans like me, who know what a real team and a real franchise looks like, will step off the Jerry Jones train too. Good luck to you all and do something better with your time. God bless.
Had my eyes opened w/ the 09 draft. Worst handled draft in NFL history.

I stay around because it's fun to cavort w/ fellow Cowboys fans, and to be a part of the truth cavalcade, the guys and gals on here who like to talk football living in the real world. That does not include the fans who call themselves realists w/ their primary contribution being the screaming that Dak sucks. Those types and the homers that scream back at them are best ignored, if not they'll drive you nuts!!!

Come back any time, Keith, it was great palavering w/ you in the past and you'd be a welcome addition if you came back!!!!!!! Have a whiskey, helps a bunch while watching this team!!!!
