Why would I be happy?

I knew this would happen. That's why I'm so vocal about it. Dak, like Romo, is a loser that holds the Cowboys back.

Some of us have been telling ya'll this, hopefully you've seen the light now.

Yeah, I try to be as objective as possible. I am not a Dak homer by any means - I have criticized how he got overpaid for his talent level, acknowledged his mistakes that have contributed to losses, etc. But I don’t just blindly hate on the guy because he’s not an elite QB. Nor do I think just because the Cowboys have been terrible as a TEAM that it should fall on Dak. Dak isn’t responsible for blocking, catching, running, defending, (all of the) penalties nor special teams. And we’ve come up short in all of those categories.

No. I don't think "it's all about the QB", but I am able to see that our QB is a weak link.

I have said this many time but I guess I will have to say it once again. So listen up since I'm not going to keep saying it. I have never said Dak was elite, you can go back and look at any post on this subject and not once have I claimed Dak is elite. My list of elite is very short, it is guys who have played at high level year after year. It is not even about winning SB it is about playing at an elite high level consistently.

QB is the weak link? no lack of discipline, no team out there is going to commit 14 penalties in a playoff game and win, that is poor team play. It was an issue through out the season as Dallas was the highest penalized teams in the league but in post season vs top teams you can't afford dumb penalties.

None. Dak is Kurt Cousins, good enough to beat bad teams. Sucks against the average to great teams.

That was my premise.. Dak is ~ to Cousins , do not pay him 40 per year. I suggested a stop gap at QB. Dak will never be good enough unless we hire a Shanahan or McVay

5th in the league with 4800 yards passing with no WR's, a mid season HC change, number 1 WR bounced from league after 7 games, top TE missed 5 games and a RB that couldn't crack 900 yards.

Yeah the offense wasn’t great, and their league rankings showed that. Carr is very similar to Dak except he doesn’t blowout bad teams, nor does he have the 4th quarter surge against good teams.

Against the chiefs they were blown out 14-41. The second time they met it was 9-48. Against Cincinnati it was 13-32. Against Chicago it was again 9-20.

Dak sometimes doesn’t show up against strong opponents until they game is decided. But when was the last time, regardless of coaching, regardless of injuries, where you thought, “Our QB won’t even be able to score a single TD today?”

Comparing Dak to Cousins is such a lazy opinion. It use to be Alex Smith....Dak and Cousins play nothing a like. Its just lazy. Dak showed more in his rookie season as a winner than Cousins has shown his whole career. I know people like to pretend like Dak's rookie season didn't happen but it did.

There is nothing wrong with being worse then Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Brady, Stafford, and Murray. Those guys were first round picks. The problem is the Joneses paying Dak like he is one of those guys when he has barely won one playoff game in 5 seasons before signing the contract.

Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Brady, Stafford, Murray, Herbert, Wilson. Thats the elite crew. Lamar's running is a very special ability and is on the fringe. If he had a better WR core I think he could potentially be a better passer and a more complete type of elite guy.

The futures list: Jones, Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, Lance, Mills (not enough experience for ranking consideration) But obviously not in the top tier yet.
I would love to have one of them as QB1 heading into 22. But realize that's not feasible or possible.

Everyone else is second best and can be argued for positional ranking.

Don’t think it’s lazy at all. Cousins, Dak, Jimmy G, are all functionally equivalent.
All three could have taken the Niners to the SB in 2019. I am judging them outside of situation. They are all average and Jimmy G is the worst of the three.
All three of them will never be in the same group as Mahomes, Allen… or even Burrow, Herbert or even Watson, Stafford.

I argued with a poster just yesterday we'd struggle with Mahomes and he laughed lol. What it boils down to is a lot of these guys are still upset over the Romo situation and there's another group who never liked Dak to begin with and want to be proven right on him. I can't even imagine being a fan of a team and hoping they suck so I can look right on a player evaluation.....

Haha EXACTLY...49ers beat a Rodgers led Packer team without scoring a TD...but no one will talk about that...it will be the shoot out QB's had....Josh Allen was money and sits at home right now with the rest of us. And he was great yesterday.
