Hard to find an NFL comp for Prescott because he's built like Donovan McNabb, but lacks McNabb's ability and polish. Prescott has NFL size, mobility and enough arm, but the tape shows a player who must improve his mechanics, poise and quickness through his progressions if he is to become a full-time starter in the NFL. There are absolutely draftable traits and upside, but he will need extended work to smooth out his flaws. Until then, a team would be wise to utilize him on short-yardage packages.

Well that sounds pretty accurate to me. Even then, Dak can be surprisingly accurate on deep throws when he’s feeling loose and not afraid to take chances.

Obviously our OC hasn’t been smart enough to account for Dak’s strengths and weaknesses, which further compounds the problem.

Man its crap....saying Dak is top 5 is one thing. Sure. Things were a little different this offseason. Burrow and Herbert didn't come along and slide into the conversation......I've never heard people use the word "elite".......trust me I was here in the offseason when people were arguing Dak wasn't top 10 and guys like Ryan Tannenhill would be put in front of him.

I'm the first to admit I was wrong on the 49ers...I still feel we should've played better but defensively they are giving teams fits.....its peaking at the right time. very impressed with what they did against Rodgers....somehow got away with Josh Norman out there on Davante Adams....

They were good enough to get into post season and brought in a very good defense, with a strong run team. I don't excuse the play of Dallas but again you make mistakes in post season you pay the price.

Raiders had problems, but they weren’t season shattering issues. To go into a game saying “It’s unlikely my QB can throw together a single TD drive?” And it’s not like this is an outlier year for that. Carr actually did better this year than he usually does in that regard. Every year is 21 TD passes, 19 TD passes, League leading 12 fumbles, league leading 11 fumbles… regularly for the last half decade Oakland fans go into games wondering if they’ll have any offense at all.

Dak is a better version of Kirk Cousins, and Derek Carr is a worse version.

Carr has had 24 4th quarter comebacks and 30 game winning drives in 2 more seasons than Dak who has had 10 and 17. So basically 2x more in 2 more years.

really he won the Seattle playoff game like that also he scored 18 against green bay in 2016 in the 4th, hes been in many where hes led them back so never or ever are FALSE. Lately no but hes done it before.

NE game this year i believe he had to come back to tie then the game winner in OT, calls' shootouts are rare anyway so hard to find those

why does that matter? why the insistance of this board on ranking QBs...

reality says Dak is the QB of this team for the next two years at least, if not three.
Reality says we are not going to bring another QB in FA that would could replace Dak because it would be financially impossible
and if Dak is the worst Playoff QB, then I guess he did good leading his team to win NFCE and playoffs.... I mean if Dak is truly average then he exceeded expectations? no?

I think Rodgers is elite and frankly can't stand the guy and have lost so much respect for him over the last couple of seasons. However being elite has resulted in 1 SB back in 2010. Since then GB has failed. Again I think Rodgers is the best out there but QB do not win SB, teams do
