Of course they do but I'm not gonna bash a guy for trying to do what's best for himself. He gets paid the 11 million either way
not sure dissing his employer and the fans by erasing all team related media is a way to go about it. He looks immature..or giving him the benefit of the doubt...maybe he just needs to recharge his batteries a bit...a clean slate.

Yeah I do. Because I think they are committed to him. Cliff Kingsbury is tied at the hip with him. Would they sign a vet QB in that case? YES...just like we did. Injury is part of it. I think they might tag him in 2023..just a hunch.

Then it makes less sense to tag him. If they are tied to the hip a deal now spreads out money over a longer term. That's why most do deals early. if they are like the Jonse's and weren't sure then waiting makes more sense but they have to know a guy wants to feel secure. also we know the cap is going way up. so a contract now will be much less than what we see in 2024 better get them under contract before then.

He had a decent season overall, but he should not have made the Pro Bowl ahead of some others.

Murray was an alternate. He was added to the roster because Aaron Rodgers, and others, opted out of playing it.

? every decent player gets a 150M contract in MLB. Superstars get 300M+
They don’t get the yearly money that quarterbacks will be making. The salary cap is about to explode. Max Sherzer will make 43 million this year while Dak, Allen and Mahomes make 45+ for 17 games compared to 162. Baseball has more years because you can play longer but with the rules changes protecting quarterbacks, they are playing into their late 30s.

I truly don't give a hoot and not sure why this is posted on the zone.

PS. Go for baseball if you can. Longer career which means more money producing years. Plus he is one hit in the NFL from being broken up like Humpty Dumpty, never to be put back together again

on a scale of 1-10, this is a 1 for me. He just completed his 3rd season so the Cardinals have 2 more years of control over him and they can franchise him so really 3 more years of control.

This, if anything is him trying to gain leverage for an extension, but good for him

If he was a first-round pick in baseball, he should have gone there. He simply doesn't have the body for football, not at the quarterback position.
He's going to be beat up before the end of his contract.
Great talent but doesn't have a football body.

exactly. that's why I never liked RBs playing QB. in the NFL the QB has to be able to throw from the pocket. in the playoffs, with better/faster defenses, that running ability gets neutralized and it comes down to passing. Jackson is a prime example. great in regular season and so far in his career the playoffs has been a disappointment.
They are not RBs playing QB
