Deshaun Watson won't be playing for anyone next year and Washington couldn't take the PR hit for trading for him even if he does play. Dan Snyder is in survival mode with all of the allegations against him.

Clarity on his legal situation won’t happen until after the draft. No one will trade for him until it’s cleared up. If Watson is exonerated it wouldn’t surprise me to see Washington make a play for him. They’re desperate for a franchise QB. The QB draft this April looks pretty weak.

I hope it's not Wilson, do we really need that in our division?

If we can’t beat a good QB we might as well give up. The Cowboys need to be pushed if they’re going to get anywhere. They can’t keep relying on beating backup QBs. Playing in a weak division may get us to the playoffs but it’s not going to help us advance.

We play 17 games, don't mind a couple easy division wins. Would rather face someone less than a Russell Wilson twice.

We won a playoff game against him and he appears to be on the decline.

Looks like Seattle does business like the Cowboys. Wilson's base are 19 and 22 mill. Pretty sure the new team isn't responsible for the signing bonus. He does have 5 mill roster bonus though, Skins could get him pretty cheap as far as salary but the picks would be too much I believe.

Wilson has a no trade clause. He's have to approve any trade. If you were Wilson, would you approve a trade to the Commies?

He wants a new contract ( no more G-money on his current deal). I'm guessing he gonna follow the money.

Depends , who's turn is it to win the East?. He'd stand a better chance of making the playoffs in the east than west.

This past season was the last year of Wilson's guaranteed money. In fact, it the straw that's stirring the whole issue of whether or not gets traded. He wants NEW guaranteed money ( Maholmes range from what I heard) and the Seahawks want him to play out the last two years of his current deal at $35M. Three options here, the Seahawks can redo his deal with new guaranteed money, trade him, or he's threatening to sit from what I heard/read. The bottom line, he has no intention of playing 2022 under his current deal.

He would be up for an extension after the 2022 season. That's the only way he's getting new guaranteed money.

Players get contracts restructured, but I don't recall a current contract being altered to pay more money without an extension. And they come prior to the final year of your current contract, or after the 3rd year of your rookie contract.

I would think his goal, if any, would be to win a championship, not simply go to a team to make the playoffs. It's not hard to make the playoffs as almost half the conference gets in.

I didn't state that Wilson would not want to be traded. I stated that he would have a lot better options than Washington if he were put on the trade block. Seattle puts him on the trade block and there are quite a few teams that would enter the bidding war. I'm sure that Seattle could find a trade partner easily for Wilson. However, Wilson could block the trade to that team if he weren't excited about the prospects of being in a place were there was not a winning culture. Wilson wants paid but he also wants to be somewhere he can win.

QB-needed teams maybe willing or can afford to pay him $40-45M........Bucs, Commanders, Broncos, Panthers and Colts. The Commanders have just as much to offer as any of these teams.

Restructured, extension however you wanna call it, it's pretty clear he wants new G-money. From what I've heard/read the reason he missed OTAs last season was to get their attention about a new G-money. Notice his statement below.......

“I’ve been fortunate to be able to play 10 amazing years in Seattle,” Wilson told Dugar. “My hope and goal is to be back there and keep winning there. That’s the vision, that’s the goal. That’s always been it. It’s never really been anything different.”

what did any of those qbs do imn the last 2 seasons where they overcame team deficits etc i mean they need qb and any of those could be an upgrade but doesnt make them so much better the cowboys have to lose sleep over it..just because it looks good on paper doesn't make it a immediate threat.
Just don’t be mocking them.

That statement probably has to do with whether or not he would rather be traded than stay with the Seahawks based on what direction they're going.

A restructure doesn't add money to your contract. It doesn't give you new guaranteed money. Only an extension does. And he's not getting one before the 2022 season. Not counting 5th year options, I don't know of any player that gets extended this early.

Even if he gets traded, he's most likely waiting for 2023 to get an extension and new guaranteed money.

They have a lot to offer, except a stable organization for a QB to thrive

Wonder if Rodgers would consider the skins?
Could Rodgers curb his prickly personna enough so he doesn't cross no-nonsense HC Rivera?
Also - is the dumpster- fire culture cloaking the franchise on the way to being eliminated \ tempered enough for Rodgers to feel the roster can win the NFC East and contend for his last two to four seasons of his career?
