Dear struggling contractors, bland men and pickup truck yahoos, I say unto you in manly terms
We are not gonna even sniff the Super Bowl next season.
So, in light of that, old fellows,
Gimmie's rules for 2022 include

* Play each game in 2022 to evaluate players and plug holes when possible.
* If we lose every other game, what is the loss? Think 2023 draft, baby blokes! Tank? Well...
* Never garantee a starting position. Everybody, even Micah, should prove his worth based on CURRENT talent at camp and during the season.
Start playing the young guns and toss the ones who don't live up to hypedom.
*Draft a starting-caliber OG in the first round.
* Then, move heaven and girth to get Sam Howell, QB-N.C., in the late second round. Careerwise Sam Howell has a 277.9 PGA in passing. He also compiled many 300-400-yard passing yard games.

The last suggestion is based on Howell falling to the 50th or lower pick in the 2nd round.
So do it, Jerry. Do it to pressure Dak, to get a respectable backup and to appease the pitchfork and tiki torch crowd. Do it Jerry!!!
REBUILD, RELOAD AND REVISIT greatness!

I've waited 26 years, I can wait until 2023.

I've been thinking that the roster looks like the end of the Landry years. Mainly older players getting worse, and now with a cap overhang. We already have to cut a lot of meat to pay for our 40 Million Dollar Man. That's just to tread water as the oline gets older.

Can't see Jerry doing a full rebuild. We'll stay at the cap edge as we wear out the remaining tread on our 28-31 yo players. They get worse while we kick the cap can down the road, doing the minimum roster cuts to field a team, while Dak plays in 2024 as a contract year, with a 15mil dead cap overhang left on his contract.

Really looks like an inevitable slide into the gutter, but w/o another Herschel Deal to breathe new life into the franchise at the end of the tunnel.

I would love to see a similar transformation to what the Bengals did. They completely rebuilt the Andy Dalton, AC Green, Geno Atkins team in a very short time and made it to the big game. I like the idea of drafting a QB, Burrow was a key component in their transformation, I would consider Desmond Ridder but either way they have to get ready for the possibility that Dak has reached his ceiling. A lot of the weaknesses highlighted in his original draft profile are still there.

666 makes sure we finish 8-8 or 8-9 somewhere where its a guaranteed that we can't draft a Burrows.
Filling his coffers and leaving sorrow and pain in his wake.......
What makes this most hilarious is that Jerry believes Dak and Zeke will bring him a SB....

Yup. This is not a super bowl roster. Not even close.

Bengals made the super bowl due to the FA signings of DJ Reader, Trey Hendrickson, and Ogunjobi. Burrow's ability to play in adverse conditions was also key.

You do not have to tear something down to re-tool your team. But they can start by getting rid on albatross contracts and bringing in free agents who can nearly duplicate their performance. Stop handing out big money to average players. No big money to randy, schultz, gallup, CW though I like these guys. Cheap 1 year deal, yes but that's all. Draft best player available, fill holes with some cheap veteran free agents who want to prove they can still play.

I hear it is known as the Gdansk of the tri-county north region of Texas.

LOL. I’ve never had the displeasure of moving through Jacksboro on the way to anywhere. To hear Jerry tell it was either Frisco or Jacksboro for the Taj Mahal he built for the Boyz practice and Cheersquad girlz lockerooms

Why no thanks? That led to 3 super bowls.

But you have no guarantee “ tearing this up “ starting over gets you anywhere near a SB . At least 12 wins dominance in the division and let’s face it the Cowboys should have advanced in the playoffs . I take my chances going forward not backward.

Two problems. One, Booger will never agree to a rebuild, it's always a reload because he's the eternal optimist. To rebuild anything, one has to have lost belief or faith in the present structure, do you see that with him? He is all about the pitch and the spin, how does one sell a rebuild?

Two, and the most important one, who built this?

Correct rebuilding means at least 2 years of sagging ticket and merchandise sales not to mention the money invested to re-build and clearly Jerry is not interested in winning a bowl but just keeping Dallas relevant is good enough to keep Jerry way ahead of the game in his mind..

During the Super Bowl there was a graphic that showed the defensive players they acquired in a two year period and I think it was seven players who all were starters including Chidobe Awuzie. Logan Wilson was a draft pick who played extremely well.

The problem with "rebuild" is we are stuck with the same architects of the past quarter century.

To paraphrase George Carlin, "Be happy with what you have, don't expect it to get any better."

Also shows that average corners like Awuzie and Apple aren't that bad if the DLine is disruptive. We ask for waaaaaay too much out of our DB's. LB's too for that matter.

We've been following what are your ideas for 26 years. And that's why we keep failing. We don't advance in the playoffs because we lack the studs on D, plain and simple. Think about it, the Rams don't win the super bowl if they don't suck in 2013 so they can get Aaron Donald.

Jerry thinks as you do, unfortunately, desperately and pathetically striving for wins instead of understanding the process of building a super bowl contender.

-----I think McCarthy and Quinn have both thrown the old practices aside and are already embracing youth and actually playing them and giving them opportunities to grow

I that why Brown continues to steal snaps from Turner, and we never get to see McKeon or Sprinkle ever take a snap with the 1st team???
