First time I've heard this but it's Fish, so not sure what to make of it. Honestly, it probably doesn't matter, coz his future here was already decided before the playoffs IMO.

"The Cowboys don't necessarily think he quit," the source said, "but ... let's just say they found his effort at the end troubling."

Cowboys always go into smear campaign mode when they want to drop somebody. Put out "leaked" info about their character and/or effort, cut them, and then when they end up with the same losing results the next year, they find their newest scapegoat. Amari is a lowkey kind of guy and he isn't perfect but it's hard for him to perform if the ball doesn't get thrown to him.

That's how James Harden says he wants to be traded. He doesn't even try to hide it.

He is too lethargic in blocking on too many plays . He has a selfish or lazy streak about him . Definitely not worth keeping at 20 mil . He has not earned it .

Another action was taken due to the ineptness of our QB.
Only Dallas offered a #1 pick to the Raiders.
Does anyone remember the offense prior to Coop's arrival?
No WR can achieve success in Dallas for reasons which are pretty obvious!
When Coop departs and they are doubling Lamb Dak friendly will hit new lows.......

Nice scapegoat. I’m fine with letting him go as he does make too much considering we won’t throw him the ball. But the narrative of making him look bad is ridiculous. This team is crooked. Letting go of Coop and than signing Gallup is not going to make this team better.

I mean this is how the Cowboys do it. Leak negative things when they are about to get rid of a high level player for cap purposes.

They are more worried about what the fans are going to think than alienating players.

And it usually works with a large chunk of the fan base--"They aren't releasing Cooper, because they messed up the cap; they are releasing him because he has a bad attitude."
