When did Cowboys fans get so gutless

This Russell Wilson news is being met with too many people excited to see a great QB leave the Cowboy’s conference. Who cares about advancing further in the playoffs when there are much fewer actual contenders? We should want the best and greatest competition in our division and conference-AND STILL beat the other teams.

What is also interesting is how many people think that somehow the Broncos have already lost the trade with the multiple first and second round picks given up along with Noah Fant. Russell may be older and a bit slower than he used to be, but he is still an extremely dangerous pocket passer with enough ability to buy time when looking downfield. He has excellent touch and exceptional decision making.

What is also interesting is how much team’s with excellent front office personnel are willing to give up to greatly upgrade the QB position. If you think Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay, and John Elway are pretty good QB evaluators-then you should completely understand this trade from the Bronco’s perspective. They feel strongly that Russell Wilson is way better than anything in the draft this year and improves their chances at winning something meaningful in the next several years.

This is just another all in move that MAY backfire. But the Broncos are shooting their shot like LA did last season. Winners gamble with the cards dealt or exchange them but can honestly assess their own cards and somebody else’s.

I think the Broncos, somewhat like the 2020 Bucs, are a QB away from making some noise. I think they will have a good year with a rejuvenated Wilson.

What QB should the Cowboys go after and how do they fit that under the cap with Dak?

For what? We play in one of the weakest divisions in the sport, had a cake walk to the division title and still couldnt do crap in the playoffs with it all right there for the taking. So why do we as fans need to pretend to want the toughest path for these losers that havent won in like 30 years.

Did you just say you didn't care about going further in the playoffs?

Is this sarcasm or just a bunch of crap thrown against a wall to see what sticks?

Follow up question. Let’s say we replace the other team’s rosters with d level talent at the most critical position in football and the Cowboys finally make it back to the Super Bowl, but only have to face the backup QB because the AFC team lost their own starter at the end of the AFC championship game (and squeak out a SB win).

Cowboys fans should care about beating the best teams playing their best players who are playing their best ball. Results matter more when you have actually accomplished something. I cheer for the squad, but why get excited because I could beat up a toddler?

Why would anyone be scared of Wilson, he through a TD on the one on 3rd down with Beast mode for a easy Super Bowl win. Romo style.

So that winning the division and making the playoffs actually means something more than beating crappy teams. I don’t pretend to want the toughest path for the Cowboys-I would literally embrace it. If they got drilled a bunch, then they would deserve it.

This is kind of a silly point. I doubt any New England fans are upset about having a crappy division for almost twenty years.

This was a great move by Denver IMO. I can see if Denver sucked, but they have a good team. It's a very good fit for them. Too bad they couldn't keep Fant.

Probably around the time Jimmy was run out of town. Losing the best coach/talent evaluator in the game at the time left many of us feeling gutted.

The Cowboys are stuck with Dak for many years to come. At least for the next 5-6 years at minimum. They're not going to keep restructuring Dak's contract and have another QB play. And they can't not restructure his contract. That's not even an option.

And then followed it up by beating the Colts with in his prime Peyton Manning multiple times, along with other very strong AFC opponents for several of those runs. If the Cowboys had proven themselves against the best conference teams over the course of 20 years of greatness (and following it up with 6 wins vs the best NFC team), then you can forgive the division being pretty weak.

More like when did the Cowboys fans become so Whiny, not gutless. :lmao2:

Exactly, why cheer for another squad the Cowboys face being weaker so that it enhances the Cowboys chances on winning games? What crying whiny wants to face the weakest teams to gloat? Beat the best to have meaningful results.

Calm down, He-Man.

Cowboys fans have, rightly, lost confidence in the front office. Any advantage that comes the Cowboys way is seen as an opportunity, by some.

Personally, I don't think Wilson staying or leaving matters one bit. What's been holding the Cowboys back is internal, and not going anywhere.

This is the same Russell Wilson Dak has outplayed and helped beat.
