The salary had to go and the production didn't match. People way overvalue a guy when they think a team is going to take on this contract and give up a high pick. Plus I've a never seen a WR less into his job. Like he much rather be somewhere else. Welcome to Cleveland... A
Exactly!
While the rest of the NFL is worried about offense( other than a few smart teams ) let’s build the best D possible and fix the O line. Let Dak drive the bus to the Super Bowl.

We have been asking Dak to do to much. Let the D, lead by Mika do the heavy lifting!!!!!!!

Agree 100% Much rather see this defense clicking and being stout than having Cooper and his 20 million on the field. Hasn't worked yet! Didn't work when he was still on his rookie deal.

That they got anything for him is amazing since after the 49ers loss and AC called Dak a kirk Cousins and got in a altercation with a screaming Dak most new Coops days were done at Dallas.

There's no actual proof that happened. I haven't seen one legit source confirm that.

I gave a B due to you have to consider who our FO is, and the other scenario is they get nothing and still have some cap money tied up for amari.

Jerry wanted him gone regardless so this is good considering they were going to dump him no matter what.

Let the front office know what you think of the trade. Keep in mind the salary cleared off the books.

Browns - Amari Cooper, 6th round pick swap

Cowboys - 5th, 6th round pick swap (9 spots higher), 16 million in cap relief
Amari isn’t worth that contract but was hoping we could get more than a 5th. C grade for me

serious question: who did the Browns make this deal with? Jerry, Stephen or Will...who is working the phone with the Browns during this trade process?

Cap relief or not, we're a worse team without Amari.

No proven #1 WR (hope he steps up BIG), #2 & #3 WRs currently unsigned, shaky OL, better days long behind him RB, and an overvalued QB & TE (hope they step up too).

I gave them a D only because they got something from someone after saying they were going to release him. Just dumb...

D.....only because I think an F would be an outright release with nothing back. Cap savings would have been obtained even with just a release so that is not an issue. When you think this FO can't look more stupid, they outdo themselves.

C. 8 teams bidding and that's the bests offer.

Just remember when we traded for Robert Quinn for a 6th rounder? That's the market.

I hope all these people who love this fake cap relief still feel good when we win 5 games next year.

According to we got a 5th round pick for him.

Ah. So according to you. Lol ok.

What we got for him doesn't reflect his talent clearly. That's obviously why, despite the cap relief, most people are upset with the move.

Stephen works the phone like the good secretary he is. Jerry makes the decision.

Most fans here have already given up on the franchise. And Amari Cooper not being here makes no difference in what this team will be in 2022.

D because a 5th is better than just cutting him but a smart team probably gets more. No one telegraphs what they want more than the cowboys. But the trade itself is rather stupid. When amari couldn't play we struggled mightily and the run game is so bad now we're a lagging stock. Oh and the OL is probably atleast a tick worse than before.

What makes you think they will actually invest in this defense? You want to use Coops cap savings to bring in a defensive stud Im all for it. Unfortunately I don't think they are planning on doing a damn thing until the latter part of FA.
