Folks.....

As a WR corps, is something all that wrong with....

Lamb

Shifty slot guy, a 4/5th round pick
Semi cheap vet like Washington

Considering the success of this offense is directly related to the success of the run game, the above ought to be fine.....making the Cooper move the right one.

Problem is, I'm not sure the powers that be agree with what would make the offense whole again....which makes their own moves look couterproductively stupid.

Dez and James Washington both played at Oklahoma State. And of course Dez still has ties to Dallas.

He might know something.

As much as some believe Dallas did Dez dirty, he is still a huge Cowboys fan.

He may have been washed at the point we released him. I still think we could've got another good year out of him. I could be wrong. I didn't like all the noise and disrespect from the fanbase. It was all so unceremonious..

He had his faults, and could've developed into a more complete WR. That said he was awesome at what he did, and some folks need to put a little respect behind the name of our all-time TD reception leader.

Don't think the front office was planning on Cedric Wilson leaving......looking for a fall back plan. Washington wouldn't be the worst idea.

He'd have to be dirt cheap, ..and i dunno if i'd sign him right now.. maybe post-draft.
I'd like to see more options
He just does not show up with the many Steelers games i've seen , he doesn't get open, has drop issues, and seems like a limited catch radius.

He's coming off the rookie deal that paid him $4M, so I'm guessing $3-4M per should easily get it done.

Something about Wilson always rubbed me wrong. Maybe he wasn't pro ready initially. I know he came from a weak program and didn't face much real competition prior to the league. It put him at a disadvantage.

Bryant is just propping up his fellow Alumni. Its nuthing but a shameless plug. Even if we did get him, The guy misses games, and is a 3rd/4th wr at best, but he des bring some attributes that may hel, like quality depth...and a guy that DOES have the skill level 2 get deep. Hes a helluva athlete WHEN HEALTHY. Its a risk reward thing. That said, we would have 2 trade for him. I don't see us doing that. Why? This draft is really deep at the wr position. Why trade resources when we can draft a guy on the cheap? Jahani Dotson from Penn State in rd 3 would be better I think.

I wouldn’t be mad at this! He was underutilized in Pittsburgh. And the guy catches everything thrown to him (which Dak needs since he’s inaccurate so often).

I can't look at this thread and not think of James "Drive By" Washington who along with Emmitt Smith won us the 2nd Super Bowl against the Bills. I always thought Washington deserved the MVP of that game. He also had the coolest nickname, "Drive By". He said he likes to hit people so hard it was a drive by shooting. Lol, the fact we went from nicknames like Drive By to HotBoyz pretty much tells you everything about the last 25 years. But I loved JW. I don't know who Dez is talking about, I'll have to YouTube him.

No question....but I admit I don't know much about him since he has been in the league. I know he was on a few fans/posters radar in the draft. Guess my question .....is he a slot or outside?

James is a good depth guy. We rarely use our depth/ backup players unless injury so he might be wasted here.

Ced Wilson disagrees he was a role player that just got PAID!

Anthony Hitchens and many others have used their stop at the cowboys for paydays,,cole Beasly? quinns a stop over for 13 sacks and got another payday no one wanted him back because allegedly hes a one trick pony yet set Bears sack record. Huh odd how fans just lie to say things that almost are always wrong..nartives tend to get beat down by facts,

remember at one time Schultz was role player way down on the depth chart and now is top paid starter..so we don't use role players huh? give it up.
