Loyalty is a casualty of the NFL's free agency system and it goes both ways. The player we love today is the player we root against tomorrow.

The players position is hey! Am I supposed to be loyal to your team or to my family? I'm making a living here and the other team is offering more incentives to play for them.

There is as changing dynamic in NFL fandom. Free agency, fantasy football, and social media have played a part in the shift from rooting for a team to rooting for specific players and following them around the league.

I would say that there is a downward shift in the entire concept of loyalty from the perspectives of both fans and players.

As for Gregory, I don't see him making a great impact for the Broncos. First of all, he got paid.

Secondly, the season is 17 games long, not 4. Five of his six sacks came during a four game block in the middle of their six game winning streak early in the season as did 11 of his 17 QB hits and two of his three forced fumbles.. Three of his four tackles for losses also came during that four game block. It was as if he knew he had done just enough to get a contract and skated the rest of the way.

As for the other 13 games, Gregory was out for five of them. His remaining productivity for the other eight games, which is half of a season, was one sack, six QB hits, one forced fumble, and one tackle for a loss.

Gregory played in three of the Cowboys losses in which he had a total of zero sacks, one tackle for a loss, two QB hits and zero forced fumbles. He was a total non-factor.

Gregory spent a quarter of the season playing at a Pro Bowl level, a quarter of the season hurt, and half of the season he was the Invisible Man.

Initially, it was about Jerry having his back AFTER the suspensions, in which I said no other team would've done that. Which they wouldnt' and didn't. Hold that L with pride Bro.

LOL. Other teams didn't because they never got the opportunity because we did. Just stop. Now you're just trying to talk in circles to divert. 24K Gold then?

Again, hold it with pride, no other team would've gave Randy the chances the Jones did,

Jerry beat them to it. But the fact that someone like Josh Gordon got plenty of chances means Gregory would have too. We know that. But thanks for the assist.

With 15 pages I am sure it's already been said. But the Jones family has done so much for his well being and career. He wouldn't be in the league if it weren't for them. With the same dollar amount on both contracts and him choosing to leave is a slap in the face to the owner, teammates and entire organization. No loyalty whatsoever. And to talk trash after the fact. Terrible.

So no direct on-record source from the Cowboys. Thanks.

Have you ever got a direct source? But you get the stories , don't you? Did you get a direct source on Cooper getting released or traded? Did you get a direct source on Lawrence being told to take a paycut, how about Collins being released? They all happened and you didn't get a direct source from the Cowboys...

No other teams even got the chance but no other teams would have done what the Cowboys did (because they didn't get the chance to do it). Pretty sound theory there. Lol.

I showed you Florio had a direct, on-record source. Who from the Cowboys provided information to dispute the agent's claim on record? Who? Does anyone you quote have a name? That would be a no. L.

He doesn't owe the Cowboys crap for their decision to keep him on. He's a former 1st Round talent. He'd have gotten shots the way Aldon Smith and Josh Gordon have had multiple shots.
And your right some teams would put up with his problems and unprofessionalism. But maybe other teams would not, like Belichick. He took advantage of the Cowboys. They continued to put up with his nonsense. I would have cut my losses long ago.

So what, does that make it true, because obviously he was wrong about the contract. That is the L for you.

You said he wasn't going to go undrafted so whomever else did draft him would have had him for even cheaper than we did, thus increasing the chance they'd hold on to him for less risk and potential great reward. Thanks.

As I said Jerry is the only one who took a chance, he was passed up by every team as a 1st Round talent. Fact.
