Umm...i already told you what year. We were talking about rookie years. Come on man.....take a deep breath before you reply. Read again..
If dak had the same kind of rookie season with joes rookie team...id be impressed. Daks 2016 team was stacked.
I see my sarcasm and points were completely missed. I will try harder in the future.

Dak hasn't shown that he's reached the next level in his QB progression. Early on, his mobility was a big asset to compensate for his lack/limitations of passing ability.
Now, he doesn't display that same zeal to use his running ability, mainly due to his hesitation from injuries and his seeming want to prove that he is a legitimate passer.
He is still a quality QB but he has yet to show he is a Force Multiplier as a QB. FM's elevate their team and overcome player limitations. He hasn't shown that ability and now we are stuck paying him as a top QB and we may not see him reach that FM level. I think the struggles by his Oline have taken a toll and he doesn't seem as confident and that affects his accuracy.
He seems to gain a lot of his stats during garbage time after the team has fallen behind by double digits. He teases a comeback but seems to come up short more times than not.
His peak was in 16,been downhill ever since.

How does he peak without ever doing anything that matters? Was that 4th round pick that bad? Is that contract that grotesque?

Joe Burrow, "hold my beer"

Joe Burrow ultimately lost because of his Oline.

That team was also carried by the defense in the playoffs. Now if you have a defense that can hold the best teams in the NFL to under 20 points in the playoffs, then you dont need much of an offense.

Bengals held the Raiders to 19 points, shut down the Titans run game and held them to 16 points, held Mahomes and the Chiefs to 24 and then held the Rams in the SB to 23 points.

Burrows offense in those games averaged 23 points per game. Not earth shattering to say the least.

Piss poor example and especially considering Burrow basically lost in the end because of his Oline giving up 9 sacks to the Rams.

You would probably be hard pressed to find another example of a team with such a poor line even making it to the SB. More of a fluke then any kind of defining analysis.

Lol Burrow has 1 1/4 season of work, let's see how consistent he is. It's stupid to put Burrow ahead now...lol

I love Burrows. Great young QB. And if they can fix that Oline they really have something. But lets see if that defense can hold down the best teams in the NFL to 20 points per game.

Dak peaked his rookie year. Developing into an elite passer was never in the cards for Dak. That’s why his contract is such a disaster for this team.

We’ll always be compensating for his lack of talent while at the same time compensating for his enormous contract. Overpaying your QB is the kiss of death for a team. That’s why you see teams giving away their overpaid QB’s.

…..are you factoring in the community service?

Jeff Hostetler, Jim McMahon, Joe Flacco, Mark Rypien, Brad Johnson, Eli Manning, Dilfer, Williams, Etc etc have all won Super Bowls. Dak is clearly good enough to win a super bowl.
well he going to have to figure out how to win a wildcard game then a divsionial game and nfc championship game and so far he hasnt really figured it out yet

These Dak threads are like a psychologist's couch, getting analysis from a doctor who is stone deaf.

……or like getting the Federal Reserve to admit that they know what causes inflation….much less how to deal with it

I think he will improve some. How much I don’t know. I know he will be moving around better now he has had plenty of time to heal the horrible injury and the one last year. He should trust the leg a little more. As long as he trains and keeps throwing the ball he will get better. He will or should be pushing off on leg better. He has another year under his belt so the game will slow down a little more and hopefully he be more comfortable reading defenses and reacting. He needs work with his newer WR and keep working on timing with his vets. I just hope that Moore helps him with some better playcalling and the O-Line looks better..

Or you could be like Washington ... New York ... Philly .. Cleveland ... Minnesota etc etc. Always stuck in mediocrity and in the search of a decent QB.

There are only so many Mahomes, Staffords, Rodgers, Allen's and Burrow's in the league. The other 20 teams are stuck overpaying or desperately trying to find anything consistent.

at least you are able to search for one. that means there is hope.

with dak under contract there is no hope until he is gone.

Not sure what that other poster was talking about. Dallas has been the poster child for mediocrity at QB since Troy.

I think being limited to just liking a past curtails me from telling you just how much I agree with your comment. The continued stupidity in Washington DC eclipses Jerry and Little Enos by a long margin.

You're right. Almost no QB has ever come into the league as a rookie under better circumstances. Top 5 defense. The Oline had 2 future hall of farmers (3 if the beard had stayed in the game). Number 1 WR in Cowboys history. Hall of Fame WR. And one of the best rookie RBs of all time. Had Romo had anything left in the tank, Dak would have ended up as a career backup.

There’s other players on the field in those playoff games. Perhaps we should ask why our defense let the 49ers maul us straight down the field for a td on the opening drive?

the only improvement I think we can realistically hope for is faster reads. Physically, of course, things will decline over time.

This is the key for Dak, and our team. What made Brady so great was his ability to anticipate. We so desperately need Dak to do that.

If you look at the what are arguably the two top senior QBs in the league, Brady and Rodgers, one has the ability to stretch the play, and see down the field with great vision, the other can anticipate the play well before the defenders can do something about it. Both are about instincts not physical ability.

If we can see Dak acquire either or both of these skills he may move himself up to a next level. If not, he will be what he is, and father time will rob him of physical talent.

He peaked in 2016 when Zeke was on fire and he had the best offensive roster around him!
One thing is certain he will be inducted into the Garbage Hall of Fame!
Imposter of a QB and human being selling an image and befriending Zeke for reasons we are all aware of.
Now he is wrapping his tentacles around Micah as it's crucial for him to keep control of the locker room and not have his ineptness questioned?
Hence why Zeke got paid as he was inept without him so forward your complaints to Dak on this matter!
Jerry, Dak is going to send you to the man upstairs without another SB ring!:(
P.S. Wait for this coming season and witness in grand style his total ineptness as Jerry has pulled the rug from under him with Coop and Collins saying goodbye!
