Ill go one step further... police officers are peace keepers. Arrest now to keep the peace. Worry about guilt and innocence later. Officers dont do investigations.... detectives do. Officers, as you stated write tickets and make arrests and often are VERY incorrect on the law, and more times than not dont give a damn about what the actual law is. They care about ending a situation and if that means slapping cuffs on someone to end a situation, then so be it.

Dont get me wrong, they have a tough job. But with that enormous power comes enormous responsibility.
Im pretty sure that's what i said LOL but yes glad we agree people don't get this they think of you are arrested or a POI you are just guilty..lmao many times its the opposite.

I have 3 of them in my current and very local family..im know what goes on..LEOs have it tough but they aren't experts in law at all and like you said make quick determination at the scene and many times go off lying witnesses or the complainants a how are actual the guilty party's whose false statements lead to arrests' need detectives and other resources to fully investigate before an innocent person lands in jail.
so sad we have become society that is actually guilty and has to spend a ton of money and time proving their innocence over mistakes made at the scene by officers. ironic the city and or county's don't refund a dime even if they drop all charges and tell you they made mistake.. revenue train at its finest,

He was with his boys from LSU. He had just got in a fight with another group. You don't think he was part of the excitement? He just accidentally got in the car with a bunch of thugs he didn't know? You are either really naive or have your head up your butt. His excuse for not going to the police immediately?
not once in the car and him thinking they were driving off..now what? the police know all this yet hes not been arrested.. agai Ray Lewis double murder he tried to help cover up was far worse,., what happened there?

Maybe for a few, but murder should be a thing where you don't cross that line.
Actually the players will probably get behind him on the murder part. All those guys have been in situations where fights break out at parties, clubs, and bars. Dak got knocked out in college. Tyrone Crawford got into a bar fight. Very easily one of their boys could have reacted to those situations with deadly violence.

He was in the car and told nobody for weeks. I don't care whether the police have arrested him yet. He is a POS. He doesn't deserve to be in the NFL. Period.

Agree 100%. Dont get me started on Asset Forfeiture and Victim Impact Statements....lol
The statement I hate the most is, if you have nothing to hide, what are you worried about?

Can we stop with the "didnt tell anyone for weeks" talk?

Fact is...we dont know if he didnt go to the Cowboys or a Lawyer very shortly afterwards...after thinking about the situation and the thought of losing his Golden Ticket.

The family pleaing for help could still be done and the cops know they have KJ's testimony in their back packet but they arent saying anything for a few weeks because they want to let one of KJ's boys slip up.

So...just stop with the "he let weeks go by" talk.

Im not defending KJ...Im defending what could be a very likely scenario that everyone on here doenst seem to want to talk about or consider.

And yes...him deleting Tweets or him tweeting shortly after all this is all weird and definitely looks like he didnt come forward fast....but we dont know.

The mere fact the Cowboys haven’t yet released this guy, it’s beyond troubling.

No it's not. They are waiting for the dust to settle before making a decision they can't take back. It's the right way to handle it. I'll reserve judgment on the FO for now, other than they need to stop drafting red flags in rd2.

You could be right, but it seems very unlikely that they've been sitting on this for weeks, and just now arrest the guys and declare Joseph a person of interest. I don't know when the video first came out, but I'm guessing someone recognized him, and that's the only reason he's talking to the police.

No, we can't. He didn't scrub his Instagram until recently. That tells you he didn't say a word.

NO police administer tickets or arrests ie add charges its the DA ie prosecutors who with lawyers who are lawyers themselves enforce the laws,. many times the police arrest citizens and are wrong at the actual charges that fit the situation. many more times then not lawyers have to use real laws in front of judges that agree or disagree with the applied law for that crime..that why deals are made or charges dropped or lowered because police do not know the laws. they come into a he said she said and make most time very rash and quick decision on who to arrest and what charge to add..its many time WRONG. police are not lawyers its why lawyers have to untangle the mess once and investigation and real facts come out.
calm down .
