Say what??? Have you not been paying attention?

No regular person who is not involved in a street gang goes out with several thugs who pick fights on innocent civilians, and afterwards, drive-by shoot them dead! Those are not regular folks. Those are street gangs or criminals of some type.
Is there any proof that the other group was not gang bangers or even that KJ's group are gang bangers?

Kelvin Joseph is probably at home, smiling while thinking he got away with it...knowing that he ratted on 2 of his homes so he could remain free.

Just a matter of time before those 2 headed to prison get connected with some real bad prison gang leaders who work out a deal to send a couple of street guys to look for Kelvin Joseph. Won't be hard to find Cowboys Headquarters at The Star.

I want to hear what Gil Brandt thinks about this.
I bet he'd say Kelvin Joseph is living to be dead.

The world was his oyster. He plays for the most popular (key word)
team in all of sports. He was likely going to be a starter.
But no, he pisses it all away to hang with his homies who
leached onto him.

No offense its ppl like you that have made the awful laws that plague this country. 2 men are in jail including the actual shooter. 1 man cannot be responsible for the actions of another.

Sorry, one doesn't shoot someone on a street corner outside a club while hanging with thugs unless you and your friends have a history. Clearly, they had no fear of shooting and killing someone...or worried about the repercussions. Why is that? History...

No offense? BS.

You private messaged me last night sounding all nice. Now you come up with such garbage talk? You're making excuses for KJ, and we all know it. The guy has been living years hanging out with such criminals. Heck, KJ even started punching at the victim while the victim was simply minding his own business. IT'S ON TAPE!

But you go ahead and keep deflecting and makes excuses for cover. It's folks like you who attack and create fights, only to afterwards point fingers and not want to be held accountable. Heck, look at your handle picture! Wannabe thug or what? Step up, tough guy!

I’ve had fun playing Devil’s advocate in this thread but in all seriousness KJ needs to be cut and free to seek his fortune and continue his career elsewhere.

I don’t care if he is innocent or guilty of the crime or involved in the crime. Kids have to grow up pretty quickly once they hit the league. This squad has a history of trying to make rehabilitation miracles (moral and physical). Jerry and the front office should focus on things they can control-the culture of the team cannot be the yes parent. Accountability is something typically learned when you are young and is extremely hard to learn once you hit adulthood.

One of the first conversations you should have with young players with talented backgrounds and troubled pasts is that they are part of a collection of talent that is much bigger than any individual. You are free to make your own decisions, but the heads of this collection will think of all team members if a players’ professional or personal conduct seem to be negatively impact the rest of the squad.

He hung out with the wrong people, and from what little has leaked out likely had gotten into a physical altercation prior to the incident. From pre-draft reports his character concerns were bad enough that most teams took him off their boards. He also likely knew some of these individuals, so I would question the thought that he had no idea this was a potential outcome.

His lack of awareness and poor judgement seem to be a pattern going back to college. Which should mean the club releases him. But JJ does not give up on second round picks or reclamation projects this easily.

Where did this information come from that anyone was "Bangin"?
I hope you arent implying a group of young black men can't be hanging out without it being a street gang. You aren't doing that right?
Please post the proof of Kelvin Joseph being in a street gang.
LOL when a group of 5 men do a drive-by and kill someone, they be bangin'

Well said. I agree. I'm disappointed in Jerry right now more than usual. I was hoping he would send a message to the team with how he handles KJ. And he did send a message. The message is the Cowboys are a mental health clinic, character rehabilitation, and physical rehabilitation center all before being a football team.

Take out all the moral and legal issues for a second. Let's talk straight football. No disrespect to the victim's family or his memory by discussing football at this time of trauma. Now with that out of the way, KJ is screwing the team. We were counting on him to be a player/starter for us. He put himself in a position where he might, or will, miss significant time due to suspension. If we can't count on him to be able to play on game day because of his lifestyle then cut him. Whether or not anyone agrees with his lifestyle, his lifestyle is making him not available for his employer. Fire him!

Far too long the Cowboys have been a psuedo mental health want-to-be clinic for knuckleheads that aren't serious about football. And we have suffered as fan due to Jerry's god complex of wanting to save everyone. Stop trying to save everyone and win football games and super bowls. Anyway, rant over.

I lived in the streets. Experienced many things, especially cross border. No excuses. You know as well as I that no one is forced. If you hang out with the wrong crowd, especially when you assault others, you know the intentions of the party you keep company with. You're a part of that. Suddenly, oooh, I didn't know? Nah, that doesn't fly.

And he shouldnt. Hes not the moral police. Hes building a football team, not a bible study. If hes guilty he will be charged. 2 men are paying the price for the murder. Justice is being served.

None of us here should have the right to judge him. That is what the law is for.

I couldn't care less what people do off the field. Until it affects the team. An owner has to think of that possibility.

That's my point. KJ put himself in a position where he most likely will not be able to do his job. As an employer Jerry should fire him. These guys have one job and that's to perform on game day. Now KJ is in jeopardy of not being able to do his job. Cut him and get someone that can play all season. Send a message that football comes first and if you want to be foolish then don't let it interfere with football. But Jerry won't because he's too scared to hurt his feelings even if it's the best thing for the team.
