Dallas Cowboys’ Kelvin Joseph is a person of interest in Dallas murder investigation

Yes, but they will hold that spot for him. They'll temporarily promote someone and then send them back to the practice squad rather than possibly find a replacement and get that replacement the training they need. The position is not an easy one to fill.

And maybe his replacement will be mindful of his behavior and thus be more reliable to the team.
So should the Cowboy shave a zero tolerance policy? You get suspended for any reason and miss a game, you are deemed unreliable and immediately cut?

They seldom renege on bonus money because players are suspended. They have the right to but it's not an everyday practice.

They would probably prefer the league to handle this but what about conduct detrimental to the team? Is there anyone on that team proud to have Joseph on it? First, he doesn't do the right thing and then he's rat. There are some people that have more of a problem with the latter.

Then there is the lack of criminal charges just like with Watson. There's huge difference between what the two of them did but still if the law is not going to do anything but cut him a deal for ratting his friends out, what is the NFL going to do? And how would the NFLPA respond to action taken by the league office?

You've got almost half the voters in that thread that want him kept on the team. There's your societal view and the reason it is disintegrating.

So just to be clear. A prosecutor is breathing down your neck telling you he is going to charge you with a felony if you do not cooperate, youre innocent, but youre going to eat the charge anyway?

The team culture is exactly what the owner wants.

I wasn't coming up with ways. Those are established facts and established rules in the NFL. If they want to, they can do it. He signed the contract.

That is trying to find an avenue to punish him. You're wrong btw. He ha to actually be convicted under the Tagliabue era conduct detrimental standard.

Yes i can remeber that the owners are the ones who gave the current comish the power to not need anything other than his own investigation to punish...I beleive som owners have wished they did not give that to him.

I dont think thats true, I dont think jerry understand culture, or thinks it has anything to do with winning.
I think jerry is morally bankrupt person, and he thinks he works hard, so others with low or no morals can too.

Jerry is an odd bird lol.

This is after he had already made the decision not to do the right thing. What do you think people are going to respect more?

And that "you're innocent" part, I do not buy that. Have you asked yourself why were these two guys shooting at the guy that just had a fight with Joseph? And he doesn't know anything about it?

Great points. I actually think there is a chance Watson gets the basic 6 game suspension because of just the sheer number of women complaining. You can argue to that if he loses the law suits he could get a year long suspension. The NFL needs to stay out of cases and that are not criminally charged.

If Watson doesn't get a suspension after Zeke took 6 games with flimsy evidence, I'll have lost all respect for Goodell - what little I have left, that is.

I’m well aware of all this….I just don’t believe he’s a informant….why are the guys he “snitched” on not in prison?

Hw could give information, but they also not be able to prove his information true. Gotti shows the legal document.

Take this all with a grain of salt. Do you see the poll on this? It's pretty close. Now imagine if he was a shut down corner. Oh how opinions would change.

of course. We all see Deshaun Massage Watson was signed to big money with 20+ accusers

I’ll promise you if he had the rookie year Parsons had 99.9% of the fans wouldn’t even consider releasing him. The poll that’s going currently has more than half the fans wanting to move on from him.

Didn’t a kicker that beat up his wife only get two games a few years back? The league picks and chooses it suspensions. The Watson suspension can be from I say 6 to 20 games.

He obviously told the cops who the shooters were because they were arrested the next day. Yes, he didn’t come forward right away on his own but if his lawyer is worth anything, he likely got Joseph some type of deal for his cooperation. His legal exposure I’d likely greatly reduced now but the league will surely hand down at least a 6 game suspension or whatever the CBA allows. He has poor judgement but did the right thing. I want to hear the true details before making my mind up on him but I would think what he just went through may very well bring about a positive change in his life. He was and maybe still is facing losing everything. Hopefully that forces him to change his ways and allows him to get through this and have a better life. Whether that includes continuing to play football in Dallas is yet to be determined.

Randy Gregory would probably sign off on something like that.

Josh Brown the Giants kicker. That was after Ray Rice too.

Yeah I'm still salty about that. The giants kicker originally got 1 game suspension but there were multiple times the police were called to his house by his wife. So there was a lot of smoke there. Then Zeke had his thing and got suspended for multiple games. If I remember correctly Goodell did go back and add games to Josh Brown's suspension. But I was mad about that. Goodell is so inconsistent.
