Deebo's value is his versatility. If he is unwilling to be work-horsed in the run game he is substantially de-valued. As a "WR only" I doubt he has the ability to produce as a top 5 wideout which will probably be his basis for his next huge contract. It's a cap disaster in the making - let someone else get sucked.

I will be absolutely shocked if it’s the Packers. They know better. I don’t think they’re legitimately interested.

It definitely won’t be the Packers they couldn’t afford to keep Davante Adams. They would have to give up the draft picks they got for Adams and a ton of money to sign Deebo.

Most are on a RB by committee and dont get all the carries that Zeke gets.

Simple truth is that Zeke should have sat out at least 4 games, but he either refused or pushed to play, which hurt the team. Maybe he was afraid that Polllard would outshine him.

Maybe. It’s all speculation, mostly, but despite playing several games he probably shouldn’t have, his attempts per game were far less than a few years ago, weren’t they?

They were less. Pollard has actually been getting more and more work each year. But Zeke and his inability to run the ball was one of the reasons we were getting behind early in games. Which then leads to more passing and less running.

This subject is wasted discussion time. Why would we essentially overpay 2 RB? I realize that Deebo does a lot more than Zeke but Zeke has more heart. Deebo doesn't want to play hard like he did last season, so you would be paying for Deebo lite. Too much money. Injury waiting around the corner.

I’d be surprised if samuel leaves the 49ers. I still think it gets resolved. Regardless, I do not believe that this FO is serious about winning. They speak way too much for a team that’s done nothing in 2 decades.

Clearly it won't be the Packers or the Chiefs. They'll draft one.

Yes, and I put the blame on three things…1)his knee injury. 2)OL problems. 3)Playcalling

Improve in those areas, and the offense will dominate.

So you hold Zeke completely blameless for his failure to average more than his 3 ypc in the 2nd half of of the year?

-If Zeke had a knee problem that hindered him, he should have sat out. We had a perfectly good RB in Pollard that could have taken over those duties. Zeke holds responsibility for refusing to sit.

-Playcalling? All Zeke can do and all he ever does is run up the middle. He lacks the speed to get outside injured or not. lacks the ability to break tackles and get to the 3rd level of the defense.

-Oline definitely took a dive. So there is nothing special about Zeke. Zeke needs big holes in order to do his job just like most other backs. Time to move on. But still, Pollard averaged a full ypc more then Zeke even after the line went south.

Caring about your own personal statistics over team success has nothing do with heart. That's just being selfish.

Don’t hold Zeke “completely blameless. But uninjured, with an improved OL and better playcalling, the Zeke/Pollard combo is still in the league’s upper half. We have more pressing needs than RB.

More pressing sure. But Zeke is by far the worst remaining roster blunder on the roster.

But its not Zeke that would make us in the upper echelon, but rather the Oline and offense. Zeke is clearly a guy that has lost a step.

And lets not forget that Zeke wasnt hurt in 2020 and averaged 3.9 ypc for the entire year.

And we know that despite the issues Pollard continues to look better and run better.

Regardless of your personal feelings, Zeke is here for 2022 at the very least. Buckle in!

Not looking forward to another year wasted featuring the slow and plodding Zeke. Its more like Yawn and bear it. Im just glad they havent extended him this offseason.

There is little hope with Moore as he clearly had every opportunity to bench the injured, ineffective Zeke and he blew it.

Poor Pollard. Another talented player wasted in Dallas. The kid could probably be our version of Samuel in SF but the FO here in Dallas is too dumb.

Depends on how this draft goes. If they cant better the line it will be another disappointment.

Im looking forward to the defense progressing.

Watching Zeke dive for 3 yards isnt very appealing.
