An offensive lineman regardless of their position can DO THEIR JOB no matter what the QB does, or the R.B, Or the T.E, or the WR. They are dependent on nobody but themselves and their offensive line mates to get their job done on any given play. NONE of the other players on offense can say that,.....not a one. They are all dependent on the offensive lineman holding up in order for them to get their jobs done . I am more than happy with this pick. You can have all the great skill position players in the world but in the end,...especially the playoffs,....NO LINE= NO WIN.

After the SF loss, we saw we needed to get tougher, meaner and more physical in the trenches. Tyler is really raw but checks all the boxes that can't be taught. He's also a very bright young man or he wouldn't have gotten into TU.

Yes and he hasn't had the coaching he needs. I hope against hope he can get that here. Something as simple as teaching him to get his hands up after the snap shouldn't be that difficult to coach.

We've had 3 all-pro linemen at the same time and not won squat with them.

When it comes to Dallas it doesn't matter what you have.

Not bright enough to kill our drives with penalties

Funny how we all come to different conclusions. This CBS sports journalist gives us his first “A” grade in the draft

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...d-selection-from-travon-walker-to-lewis-cine/

EDIT…..sorry, he actually gave the Giants his first A grade

24. Cowboys: Tyler Smith, OT, Tulsa
Grade: A

This is one of my favorite picks in this draft. This kid is a mauler who will help them at right tackle right away. He needs a little help in pass protection, but the Cowboys will coach him up. Teams loved him more than analysts and his tape showed you why. This is a really good pick.

Show how much Prisco knows - he's not going to play RT

Most media people gave the pick a B grade. Some gave it a C grade and one that I saw gave it a D grade. I wasn’t fond of the pick at first but warming up to it. We will see what happens.

I'm sure he has "position flex". Which means he plays a lot of positions, but none of them really well.
