He should go to Canada. One of 2 things will happen.

1. Make a team and prove he can still play.

2. He won't make a team and prove he can't any more.
Good point, kind of a show & prove type of thing. I can make a list of players that (I don't want to say whined) disliked how things went in the NFL.
If you can't make it in the USFL, you have no business lobbying for the NFL.

Became a Fall Guy and JJ dumped him late in free agency........should have been like Noah Brown, don't say anything, and don't do anything.....and he'd probably would have lasted longer on the team. QB, JG, and OC fix things by getting rid of people, instead of looking in the mirror and at film of their own play/play-calling/execution. Dez is done on the field.

And this is why i have no problems with players holding their owners hostage for the biggest contract they can squeeze out of them.

Dez sounds so desperate. Can't hell but feel sad for him. He's literally begging anyone, specifically the Arizona Cardinals, to hire him even as a backup or mentor. Sounds so desperate.

It's a shame to see our ex-88 this way. What say you?

He thinks every time there's an injury or suspension that he should be called up. Not the case he can only still jump, that's nothing to hold up a roster spot for and he's not playing special teams

Hopefully Dez has a boatload of money, he should. Good thing Dez is not a boxer, he would be on his way to Palookaville.
He should
He made 57 mil in his career
But you never know how a man handles his miney

Yeah it is sad. He looks to be working out hard and looks great. But there is a difference between looking great and being NFL Caliber. He showed his last year in Baltimore he was just a guy now and had trouble separating That doesn't get better with age. It must suck being healthy and think you left the game before your time came to an end. But that is the case with most players. The end typically is not a mutual decision for most of these guys. The phone either stops ringing or they escort you out of the facility. Hopefully he has been smart with his $.

Take the money Tombs. That's what Vin Diesel's character Riddick told the bounty hunter in the Chronicles of Riddick. l can remember Tombs figuring out he's doomed, shaking his head and saying...I should have took the money.

Dez should have taken that pay cut when Dallas asked him too. Now look at him.

This is true but the writing has been on the wall for Dez for at least five years now. It's not like his career has suddenly ended over an injury. It appears he doesn't have much of an after-football plan.
You appear to be correct.
There is so much more to life than football.
I just pray he find's God's purpose for his life.

The injury is his excuse for that year with the Saints. After that it's because of choices he made.

On no planet whatsoever is an Achilles tear, let alone for a WR that plants and cuts at full speed, an excuse. And I think Dez has mental issues also, meaning I don’t buy a lot of the garbage he tries to sell.

I don't see how the Cards are a good match for him.

He says he would be willing to take "a bit of a back seat" and be a "mentor to young players", but he would have to take a lot more of a back seat than just a "bit" with Hopkins, Brown and Green on the team, and Hopkins and Green are veterans for the young players to learn from.

TO still thinks he can play and wants an opportunity. Some people have it hard adjusting to life outside what they grew up doing, as well as being surrounded by fans boosting your ego.

What I meant by excuse is simply a reason to justify him not continuing to play w/ the Saints.
