We’re fine if he’s a backup. We’re in trouble if he has to start.
:facepalm:not true

you do NOT know this and the OP is wrong

i believe ranch or xwalker , ill dig it up id fi can locate it had chart that showed McGovern wasn't as BAD as these amateurs say he was,.. what he he further develops this camp like Steele...lmao you all with the exaggerations..

facts are you have no idea who will play well or not. these are what offseason programs are for OTAs, MCs, TC and preseason game.. he could get better.

Why so? We saw him play well in his 6 starts or so.

Cowboys don't let Collins go if they didn't trust and believe in Steele
Mcgovern is guard Collins was a RT those keep saying Collins need to stop its Conner Williams was let go and they kept Conner Mcgovern.

Im more worried about terrance steele
I could see Ball beating him out, and I don't even think he is that good. I think his upside is basically Doug Free

Steele was better than his rookie year, but we gave him alot of help too.

Many teams struggle to find two starting-caliber Gs to send out there every week. I have to imagine when it comes to backups McGovern is near the top of the list at G. If he were a free agent he probably gets actual looks from teams at starting.
And we have comp there now swimming like hungry piranhas.
Its nice having CM floating around now with the rest of the fish, bet he improves his game.
Tyler Smith moves McGovern to the bench, so your exactly right, quality depth on OL is a rare commodity, and having McGovern around to elevate the competition in this years OL camp battles will be nice.
Biadasz has more to be concerned about than CM does.
Center battle starting rights is up for grabs in this camp battle extravaganza.

Ya if he starts taking steroids
you mean like Dhop sure why not most players do Groth hormones and most heft away with it others pay the price..but back to reality no time in practice, weight room, film study then on the field. it can happen he wasn't horrible was serviceable and if he improves any that plus for us..

He was fine filling in for Martin in 2020.

Unfortunately he seems to be a RG only, limiting his "flexibility" to back up both spots competently.

Was he though? The drop-off of the line when Martin was not there was massive.

Maybe some think he was okay because so much of the rest of the line was so terrible with 3rd and 4th stringers half the time?

that was said about steele when LC suspension came down said he would be the next Chaz incident welp a 6 game win streak says otherwise. Fans don't know squat...

When you come in for a guy that gets benched, and they decided to go back to him after seeing you, thats usually a good indication that you are pretty bad. Regardless, its pretty clear what the Cowboys think of him
