It's not even close.......considering the team's network ratings and this, you can argue the Cowboys are an American sports institution. Its sport's popularity is damn near untouchable.

Just consider that all the teams above except the chargers, play in smaller outdoor stadiums.

weather is a factor in how many show up, and then the overall capacity of some of these stadiums, dont get close to jerry world.

And jerry puts on a good circus lol and people love the circus......and the stadium.

Keep giving dope to a junky and he will never change.
This organization needs to be filing for bankruptcy. Not record attendance.

SoFi Stadium has 70250 seats and 262 luxury suites which is their normal seating capacity. They can also sell 10,000 standing room only tickets, but they only did that for the Bucs/Rams game this past season. SoFi can expand to 100,000 seats but they do that by squeezing the seats closer together which is something that AT&T also did for the Super Bowl here--Its the same architecture design company, HKS. SoFi didn't squeeze the extra seats in for the Super Bowl this year because we were still coming off of Covid. So the numbers for the Rams and Chargers indicate pretty much a sell out for every game this past season. The Cowboys are probably including the Party Pass tickets which is increasing the numbers, and counting some fans that can't even see the real live action on the field.

Had the Cowboys finished 5-12 the attendance would’ve been the same. Regardless what kind of team the Cowboys have the fans keep coming. It gives the Joneses no reason to make drastic changes.

Yes they are true fans. For many we did not become fans based on wins, I grew up a Cowboys fan and I'm a fan win or lose I don't turn on them during bad times. Just as I pull for the Longhorn I pull for the no matter what, I don't base my loyalty on wins.

LA is a Dodgers and Lakers town. Everything else is last place.
Maybe fan wise but Dogers avg around 34k a game
Lakers less
They may be watching but twice as many attend NFL games, though there are many less of them
I would bet apparel sales are much higher for Dodgers and lakers though
They certainly have more national fans than chargers and rams have

I did become a fan based on watching Roger Staubach lead the Cowboys to wins. I became a Cowboys fan the day I saw him lead the Cowboys to a win over Miami in the Super Bowl.

Maybe for a year or two but over time crapping the bed hurts attendance. I know because I had no trouble getting tickets to games during the 5-11 threepeat years.. but as soon as they started getting good again it got harder and harder to get tickets. And a lot more expensive.

I was a fan well before Roger. I want to win with a passion but I have never based my being a fan solely on winning. I'm a Cowboys fan 0-17 or 17-0 nothing can ever change that. When I 1st became a fan as a kid, I fell in love with the Cowboys that was my team, It has nothing to do with Jerry

They didn’t have AT&T Stadium back then. It’s made going to a Cowboys game an event regardless how they’re playing. Granted going 5-11 year after year would probably have some affect on attendance but I don’t see the team sinking that low as long as they have a viable QB.

I never had an interest in the Cowboys until they started winning under Staubach. I started becoming interested in the team the week leading up to Super Bowl VI. That was the first Cowboys game I ever watched. I’ve been hooked ever since.

Just means you didn't have to get there before as many people, in the lean years. Doesn't mean the tickets wouldn't have been sold eventually.

And this is what Stephen Jones has figured out.

The Cowboys average 90k plus at home games, lead the league in TV ratings and merchandise sales whether they go 7-9 or 12-5. So why in the world should he spend extra money in guaranteed signing bonuses for premium free agents when he knows it cuts into that ernormous profit margin.

Perfectly acceptable for running a business. Not how you build a championship football team.

But tell me again how the Jones' want to win so badly.

To be fair, some of these numbers are limited by seating capacities of the stadium. Green Bay would easily surpass 93K if they had a larger stadium.

How stupid it is to build SoFI stadium with 70k capacity for football... such an expensive stadium with that little seats....guess they didn't expect much. Their loss. Tough cookies.

IF Dallas ever reaches the Superbowl again, all top TV ratings would be broken. Sports & non sports. Change my mind!
Yes, which is why I think it's incorrect when people say "all Jerry cares about is money". No, he wants to win. He knows how much better it would be back in the promiseland. He just hasn't shown us he has what it takes since Jimmy Johnson.

Jerry most definitely wants to win, the problem is profit and brand are 1 and 2 over winning.

Fortunately for the Jones family, they can highly profit and build on the Cowboys brand without having to win. Not a lot of NFL teams have that luxury.

True but the tailgating scene at TS was top notch. The smells and tastes one would encounter at the old place were just amazing. I've only tailgated at the new joint once and it just wasn't the same. Maybe it's gotten better but with the price of parking you have to get a pretty good size group to go in with you (or just have a rich friend) to make it worth doing. After the fiasco of Uber wanting $120 to drive me less than 10 miles to my house after the last game I attended though I think I might consider just bitin the bullet and paying for parking. It was $25 bucks to drop me off then $120 after the game. We ended up going to one of the watering holes and waiting out the price surge so we got home for about $60 but I was mad enough that I won't forget that lesson going forward.
