A couple of things to note: Sam did relatively well against Charles Cross and Evan Neal. Directly below is Williams' game against Cross. Below that, is his entire game against Neal.

Anyway, xwalker pointed out how Sam would have been a first round pick if not for his off-the-field issues. But he seems to be past that part of his life.

I sense he's probably a hard worker, and his skillset will only improve.

As days go by, I realize Williams is probably the most talented player we drafted, by far. I'm looking forward to watching him.

It's a good game. Look out for Dontario Drummond on the Ole Miss offense. He's also on our roster. Could be a good pick up.

In the Sam "De" Williams video up above against Miss State, there was at least 5 "no call" plays where Sam Williams was held but the official for some weird reason refused to throw the flag on the Miss State O-Tackles.

I hope the Cowboys currently have him hitting the weight room on a daily basis. Once the Cowboys get Sam Williams stronger, and Dan Quinn teaches Sam how to use his hands with better technique, I have a feeling Sam "De" Williams is going to be an absolute beast for the Cowboys!

If he comes through as a rookie phenom - along with Dorance Armstrong emerging ---- NO - ERUPTING -- as a force on the Cowboys D ---- our team can improve.

He is a good prospect, but I think he needs developmental time. I think many are expecting immediate impact but that’s not the norm, especially with defensive lineman.

Parsons was an exception. I remember Lawrence's rookie season, back when he was a sack artist. Expecting similar numbers for Williams, although he'll probably have more sacks in the 1st half of the season than Lawrence did.

He did 25 225 bench press reps.

Randy Gregory did 24....

Sam just needs to be the designated pass rusher this season. Along with Fowler and Armstrong that should be more the enough to replace Gregory. I agree with you about expectations. The Fans need to put more expectations on Gholston, Joseph, Osa and the rest of 2021 draft class. That class will actually be the key to our season.

Thats’s fine because he doesn’t need to fill a starting role. If he does nothing else but rush the passer as a rookie I’d be fine with that.

My biggest faith in Williams making an impact this season is more about Dan Quinn than Williams himself.

Quinn will get us pressure somehow, and I wouldn't bet against Williams being a big part of that in certain packages.

I’ve said it since I fell in love with him months ago when he became my pet cat. The kid looks like Parsons when going after the QB. Fast pursuit and explosive. He also can bull rush with the best of them.

Quinn should have plenty of fun things to do with he and Parsons. Imagine these two on a twist stunt?

Dude has always had the skill
It's off field issues that have been the concern

25 bench reps? Not bad.

I was doing 24 reps at 18 - 19 years of age.

He can get stronger, improve his core strength, improve his hand strength and definitely improve his leg strength. That will make him even better against top Olinemen.

Really hope this kid works out.

I think our DE situation is totally blah so if this kid can provide some pass rush this year, that would be great.

I think this team is going to struggle to get after the QB in 2022 because while Parsons is great, expecting him to repeat 2021 might be too much.

He was playing through a leg injury in that game. You'll see him limping on occasion.

We stole this guy. To me, he is the best DE in the entire draft. I haven't seen anyone, still need to look at Thibs, who has his ability.

Important notes:

*Like the top video and overall he knows what he is talking about but...his commentary on needing to get stronger as he is completely ragdolling the Tackles is comical to me.
* This MS St. game saw SW coming off the edge a lot more. This is what he will be doing for us and I just can't wait to see him and Micah rushing. This is going to be sick.
* Even though he came off the edge a lot vs Ms. St, they were still only rushing 3. Simply amazing how dominant he is.
* Did anyone notice how many times he was penalized? Holding all over the place, even a trip where the lineman grabbed his leg as he blew past him.
* If that MS St qb was a bit slower and or had a little worse pocket presence, he would have had 4 or 5 sacks that game.
*This guy hardly ever comes off the field. Think about how much more dominant he will be with rotations.

If I remember DLaw had his 1st sack in the playoffs
