So many legends and great players to pick from. If you could only go with four for a typical 4-3 alignment, what would it be? We’ve had a lot of great players through the decades, so you have to take into account size as well.

This is mine.

EDGE Charles Haley, Micah Parsons
DT Randy White, Bob Lilly

I realize that size might be an issue, I’m counting on the fact that White and Lilly can bulk up with today’s sports technology. Lilly in particular was a big boy from everything I see in the old pictures and videos. But that’s 4 nasty mofos killing the quarterback every single play. And yes, Parsons is defensive line all the way in my team.

That’s still leaving out so many great players like Harvey Martin, Demarcus Ware, Too Tall, La’roi Glover, etc… but that’s the 4 horses I’m riding!

I don't know how anyone could pick a line that didn't start with Lilly and White in the middle. Man, I loved both those guys.

Love Parsons but he ain't earned it yet over any of the names you left out. Give him time.

Interchange any of the ones you mentioned in your post, they would all be deserving.

OKAY I See your line !!!!!
mine is Harvey Martin Randy White Bob Lilly Demarcus Ware

Would not be sad with that as a consolation prize. I’m going Parsons over Ware just because I think he’s going to have a better career based on the rookie season although Ware had to get up to speed more coming from a small-time school. Harvey Martin at his peak, it’s hard to ignore that. I’m probably going with Haley only because I’m more of a 90s dynasty baby than a 70s fan.

I'm not choose Parsons over DWare ..especially at this moment - he hasn't earned the military stripes
that DWare has. Lets see Parson's 20 sack season that DWare pinned up.

And even then i'd make it more a Parson vs Haley compete. So placing Parson ahead of a HOF'er in Haley ?

Edge:
DWare
Charles Haley

Interior:
Randy White
Bob Lilly

Glover did most of his damage in New Orleans when he once amassed 16 sacks in single season in their 4-3 scheme.

Parsons has already surpassed Demarcus Ware?

What if Parsons only has 6 sacks this year, will you still say that’s better than Ware?

I realize it’s going out on a limb after only one season, but damn was that a dominant rookie season!

I’m not picking Parsons until he shows up in the playoffs. He didn’t do much against San Francisco and appeared to tire out some late in the season.

Parsons is awesome, but give him more time for a proper resume.

You can’t have an all time starting D line without Charles Haley at DE. Haley was crazy intense in a good way. He made so many big plays in big games. Stealing him from the Whiners is the biggest reason why we won 3 Superbowls in the 90’s.
