The court of public opinion is a real thing. Though he may not have been charged yet, it is very hard to imagine he had no idea what was going on. You think he was just hitching a ride and suddenly someone in the car pulls out a gun and kills someone? Public opinion usually sides with the most likely explanation. If Zeke gets 6 games for something he didn't do, it is not hard to imagine the commish coming down like a ton of bricks on this kid.

The question for the team isn't did he do it so much as will he be available.
if this happened to you - i'm sure the first thing you wouldn't do is go to the police. You'd likely one be shook up and not even want to mention it to anyone for several days, after that's died down it's likely he went to his legal representation to figure out the best possible outcome. How do we know the Cowboys and his legal team advised him "not" to go forward until more evidence was presented? Once they realized it was the YKDV chains (idiots) on their clothes, that's when he became affiliated. At that point the best outcome was to go forward and provide authorities with information.

This guy comes from the gutter, the last thing he's thinking about is snitching on a murder. You guys never walked his shoe's, some folks living a comfortable life on this board have never been remotely close to a situation like this, so to give advice is pure speculation and stupidity. Unfortunately for some of these players their "life" before football will stain them for the rest of their life.

:hammer::hammer:We don’t know what happened all we are doing on this board is speculating. The fact that he hired a lawyer, talked to the Cowboys, and the went to the police is all we really know. Two guys were arrested and charged. This is not the Watson case were he has to make statements under oath. Joseph does not have to say anything to the NFL. The league will have a problem suspending him without witnesses.

I've got friends in Baton Rouge. I've been to multiple drug dealer's houses in South Baton Rouge. Whatever, "comfortable life," I've earned for my family doesn't reflect on how I grew up. Just because someone grew up in a bad neighborhood doesn't give them a license to be bad. We're also not talking about some guy stealing bread here.

We know KJ was an All State athlete at a magnet high school. He was recruited by LSU, Alabama, Auburn, FL. St. and Florida. He screwed up at LSU and got suspended but was ultimately picked up by Kentucky. He wanted to quit on his team in Kentucky but the coach wouldn't allow him to suit up and not play. Then he got drafted by the least accountable GM in American sports. He's made $3.9 million so far with the Cowboys.

Sorry, but that sounds like a privileged life when I think about the kids he grew up with. Would we give them the same benefit of the doubt? Why is it unreasonable to give him agency and expect he do the right thing? This reflex of dismissing his agency based on his neighborhood isn't doing those neighborhoods any favors.

Who is going to talk to the league about Joseph’s role? Watson has the 22 women who they can talk too. Some will say look at Zeke but his ex was telling everything to NFL investigators. She provided pictures as well.Maybe the video fight but that just shows a scuffle.

Joseph murdered someone? They arrested the suspects. Let’s not make stuff up to fit an agenda.
I didn't make anything up. You compared this incident to a guy who got favors at a massage parlor and whatever Zeke did I don't even remember. Slightly different scenarios.

Totally different but not the way you are going. Both Zeke and Watson have female accusers that said they were assaulted. Joseph has not been charged or accused of anything.

This means that the Goodell has something to take away from Joseph as well as the Cowboys.. Perhaps they shouldn't be so vocal in their praise.

Growing up poor does not excuse ANY of this behavior. Many NFL players come from poverty and aren't getting entangled in drive-by murders in the offseason. ALL of this mess is a direct result of poor CHOICES made by Joseph himself.

It is not rocket science. He knows who he's hanging out with and what they do. Hell, he probably raps about it.

While I do agree with you, being poor is only half of the issue. I imagine some of them feel they have to join up with a certain crowd to survive. Obviously, KJ could have left that crowd behind a long time ago.

I was responding to a poster trying to paint Josephs poor choice as a direct result of growing up poor which is absurd. Since Joseph actually does have choices, especially now, we have to assume that he enjoys being around this kind of violence and people living life in this way.

Thats just how it is. This man didn’t shoot anybody but yet you have those who are dropping guilt on him as if he did. I cant understand the people who are too dumb to realize you cant put blame on a grown man for the actions of another totally different grown man.

Being in the same vehicle with someone who made the decision to shoot someone doesn't make you the shooter.
He witnessed a cold-blooded murder and protected the murderer until he was forced to come forward to save his own hide. Joseph is a thug punk and complete and utter street-trash. So too is this organization by knowingly continuing to employ him.

he's borderline developmentally disabled but can run fast and jump high. let's all feel sorry for him, and for the kid who got shot, too bad you weren't a mentally challenged good athlete.

same thing when Lewis witnessed and knew who committed a double murder and took being threated jail time to come forward hes HOF everyone kisses his arse now.double standards for super stars HUH?

we can keep skipping over these facts to pick on a DC player of course, news programs even find way to find a tie to the Cowboys for stories ,like ETY saying in the headline much coveted player earl Thomas is in trouble..LOL much coveted nice tie in for clickbait..

its happened before and fans seem to get past it but KJ not stud star so we overlook it..huh hypocritical double standards. Nice selective memory and judgements..good job:clap::popcorn:
