I get the snark but y’all are really overacting at this point in the off-season.
No snark. I love Tyron. One of the best of all time, but time has caught up with him and he is hanging on just to cash the checks. We better hope that the new Smith can handle the position because he is going to be sliding left sooner than you can say Flozell the Hotel.

I hear you. But he has not played a full season since 2015 and has missed 32 games in the last 6 seasons. So there’s that.

He'll probably miss a few games this year too. But there was no mention of a MRI or any testing needed, so this specific "injury" probably doesn't mean much in reality.

I'll be amazed if 70% of the starters, especially the vets don't have some type of back soreness during the season. All I know is the team has Smith and unknowns behind him so there's good reason to just keep him out of practice till TC. He stays in shape and knows what's needed out him.

Hey man, no worries Cowboys drafted a 5th round LT from DII. Capboy best go find a LT June 1. This is a FO situation because they know what Tyron is right now.

He has lots left in the tank
He’s still young by oline standards
He has to stay healthy but when healthy he’s still a dominate player and could be for a few more years
He’s not dominate. When is he fully healthy?

It’s back tightness. Team is being extra cautious right now.

wake me up when he misses a game.
Back problems just don’t magically go away.

It is a terrible sign that he is already having back issues, and he hasn’t even had any contact.

If you can only get 10-12 games a year from Tyron, you take them and hope he's available for the playoffs. Dude is still elite. He's played a lot of football. Get off his nuts.
That sounds like a great strategy.

Let’s hope he is available for the playoffs. Dumb!!

Exactly back tightness is NOT an injury. Every man over 30 has woke up with a stiff back. It goes away in a day or two and you're good as new. 100% nothingburger.
Everyone’s back is different. Tyron also has a history of back problems.

Hopefully, his back will be fine throughout the season. I doubt it, but no one knows for sure right now.

You do realize missed 6 games last season, 14 games in 2020 and at least 3 games in the 2016-2019 seasons, right?

Everyone is like ah no big deal, we'll just cross that bridge once we get to it. Rather than properly creating an action plan for a highly likely scenario.

Isn’t that why we drafted smith?
Seems the team is preparing for that day
We drafted two tackles in this last draft and one the year before
But 13-14 games by Tyron is better than most tackles in the league
But you have to prepare for the future which they seem to be doing
we are drafting questions marks, nothing more. Even "I"f we get 13 games of Tyron, those are not 13 healthy games a few of them are games he plays, but clearly not at the level he once was. The glaring hole on our line prompted us to somewhat take the position seriously this past draft, but picking where we did, we were forced to take a flyer and miss out on top guys at the position. This is our M.O. for the last 26 years, ignore a need until it hits you straight in the face, and then panic to try to fix it

and like I just posted, there is no stat laying that states how many of the actual games he has played he completed, or played at near 100% health. Not a knock on him at all, but the reality of what we have faced over the last almost decade with him

He just had a really solid season in the games he played and we just used a first round pick
