The owners control the rules…the rules favor the offense. That’s the way they want it. Pretty simple stuff really.
So, they control HS and College football? Sure.....let them light it up on Friday and Saturdays and expect fans to watch 10 - 7 score games.....sure....pretty simple minded stuff.

I don't, but you certainly are negative. That's easy to see. Unless, you're not a fan, then you're positive.....lol
I'm honest/blunt/frank. I'm attached to the players and I think the suits hold them back, so I'm positive and negative...balanced.

They need better LB and S play to limit big plays and they need the DT and LB to keep gap integrity in the run game at least if not get push.

They are able to build that on top of what they did last year and they will be dominant.

What will it take for this Dan Quinn's defense to be Dominant ?

Not downhill, .. not just opportunistic .. but Dominant ?

Its' exciting to have a Parsons, just as it was exciting to have a DWare.
Its exciting to be in the playoffs and run thru the NFC East opposition,.to which it's difficult to repeat per trend history
But come playoff, we're exited out of there ...because of the Defense

- Either its Aaron Rodgers doing a number on us .. or it's teams like the Rams and
Niners " out-physical " us outta the playoffs

- Despite having Parson, DLaw and Gregory.. and a playmaker in secondary in Diggs, we still have been an inconsistent defense that vs the run, does not stop the more competitive teams from running the ball on us.

- When will it come a time when our Cowboys defenses finally change and dictate what
opposing teams cannot do to us ?

What else is needed on this Defense for it to be dominant ?

We need extremely great safety play to make this defense great. We also cant continue to keep getting gashed up the middle by good running teams.

If they hit on a few in this draft like a Devin Harper, there is some definite back end of the roster comps going on with rooks on rosters
Marquise Bell
Storey Jackson
Aaron Hansford
Daron Bland
Damone Clark will be number one on this list very soon.
Mike Tafua
This is the back end of the roster comp and there is a very good chance these rooks bounce a few off the roster..
Players like Mukuamu have some heat in the room.

Force teams to play catchup and allow this defense to rush the passer and don't worry as much stopping the run. I actually think if this offense can return to elite levels, it will make the defense that much better!

I would say collapsing the pocket from the inside. It would stop the run game and force 3rd and longs. In the past, Dallas was collapsing the pocket from the outside with speed. A good QB just steps up in the pocket and makes the play against the defense.

Sorry... but if you cannot stop the run, it makes it easier for teams to eventually mix in the pass and play action .. it makes it asier for them to balance their attack, and
choose which way they can attack you .. you have to make them one dimensional ... you have to worry about the run

I’m awfully concerned about our LB play other then # 11 obviously . I was more then a little surprised 55 was re signed but with the lack of any high draft capital invested this year and no FA I guess I’m on board with LVE being back .

Have not heard mention of Jabril Cox this off season OTA or anything . Dallas needs a major contribution from him for this defense to climb that’s my opinion .

We have a health Lawrence and all of Gallimore, Osa, and Golston have stacked in a tonne of weight. Something like 15lbs each. We should look a different team against the run.

Quinn has the defense playing above its pay grade
Give me some drives by the offense and let the cards fall.

Dominant?
Dominant is a bit subjective.

But with this defencive unit, old fellow, we can go far. They are young and hungry. They are growing and learning. Parsons is the leader of the pack. A fine if talkative leader.

But to get to your question, what we need for a "dominant" D? We need a 350-pound run stuffer on the line and a bookend to Parsons on DE.

From tha, we can build, reload and stay dominant.
No need to thank me. Your look of awe is enough for me, govnor.

Agreed. Playing catch-up is one thing, keeping teams into 2nd and 3rd and longs because you stopped their runs?
That's a whole 'nother animal and a game changer.
