Ranking NFC East quarterbacks for the 2022 season

For all the bad things said about the NFC East last season, the division produced two playoff teams as both the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles made the dance. All four teams made big off-season moves as well, in hopes of securing a division title that has rotated homes every year since 2004. The Giants used high pedigree draft picks to select cornerstones, the Eagles made big trades and free agent acquisitions, the Commanders found a new QB and Dallas re-signed multiple impact players from a division winner.

The first goal of every team is to win their division. This is the easiest way to ensure a playoff berth and a chance at a run for the Super Bowl. Which team built the best roster though? This series is a position-by-position breakdown of what each organization is bringing to the competition. The most important players in the game, the quarterback position, kick things off.

With those list of guys...its damn near Dak by default. Sheesh. Its funny though...you got 2 former 1st round picks and one former 2nd...yet he 4th rounder is head and shoulders better than all of them.
Combination of injuries, untimely ineptness on the field, and a disagreeable attitude projected to his teams keep derailing Wentz's career (aren't we fans glad the Eagles leapfrogged the Cowboys to pick him?). With all that is going on with the Commanders, HC Rivera is not going to tolerate his new QB bringing his bungling play and undesirable locker behavior to "old D.C."
Philly banking on Hurts' running ability to help get by defenses while improving his passing game...will he be more like Murray, Jackson, or Allen?
Making Jones a 1st round pick tops the long list of bad decisions that have been made in East Rutherford over the last half dozen years. Gmen's last playoff appearance \winning season occurred when Prescott was a rookie.
Bottom line....Cowboys' quest to repeat as winners of NFC East should not happen because of subpar QB play.

The competition for the best QB in the NFC is pathetic. Dak wins easily. This isn't news and no real Cowboy fan should be pushing this point. We need Dak to be better and not settle for being the best divisional QB. Best in the NFC and the best in the NFL are goals he should strive for.

Does the NFCE have the worst quartet of QB's?

At least we can say none of the four are great playoff QB's.

Does the giantswire, eagleswire or commanderswire have a different sorting?

I do agree that the team with the best QB has the best chance but this isn't Brady facing off against the NFCS QB's and from a team standpoint, it's neck and neck Cowboys-Eagles and the Commanders might not be that far behind.

Yea, I’m not sure we’d have best QB in any other division . Nor be picked to win any other division. AFC South is only one even arguable .

It's crazy just how bad the NFC East is at the QB position.

Not a single of these QBs would be a starter in the AFC West.

Dak is the best qb in the division hands-down.

jones has never had a good team, good HC or coaches, good OC, or good OL.
It is hard to be good working with what he has had to work with.
I think he may be the best qb, just on a crappy team.

Hurts can run , but philly coaches are too dumb to use that properly. I havent seen enough of him to say about his passing, but I have to
conclude his OC is a dummy and cant fashion a offense for hurts specifically .

wentz is arrogant, injury prone, and hot and cold like dak. If he cant get along with team mates, that is a issue.
I dont see where he is any better than the guy that started last season. Wash has bad OL and meh run game and again seems like a dumb OC.

Dak, has the most talent around him, I cant say he has better coaches though. But better overall talent so he should look better than the other 3.

The Cowboys are favored in Vegas but not by much over Philly. Washington and the Giants are longshots per the odds.

I don't get the Wentz hype at this point. He had a playoff caliber team in Indy and crapped the bed. I need to see it before I believe it.
