Who do you think we paid 160 million to....Joe Burrows?
This is the lemon deal of the decade for the NFL.
All these issues are still with Dakko and after 6 seasons there not going away.
One look at his footwork and how he uses his upper body to force his throws tells the Tim Tebow tale....

Weaknesses
  • Beat up this year thanks to poor protection
  • When he wasn't being sacked, he was being hit hard
  • Not as competitive a rusher in 2015
  • Sacks and usage in run game might be taking a toll
  • Increase in short pass attempts from 86 to 208 this year reason for higher completion numbers
  • Accuracy on intermediate and deep throws dropped sharply
  • Pocket poise has been compromised
  • Hyper aware of pressure around him and lacks awareness to slide and find temporary shelter to make throw
  • Concern over pressure too often trumps ability to get through progressions
  • Must speed up the pace of his reads
  • Footwork is a mess
  • Slight stride onto stiff upper leg with little weight shift
  • Restricted follow through and too often tries to muscle throws with upper body
  • Throws to target rather than leading or throwing them open on short/intermediate throws
  • Too respectful of underneath coverage and must be more willing to challenge the defense
  • Needs to improve anticipation
There you are....just like clockwork.

It's practice, and stuff happens. I'd rather get have a bad day or two in practice on game day. If it's during practice, especially during TC, then it's easier to correct for the season. I expect Mike and the QB coach to fix it.

Perhaps Prescott is working out throwing adjustment kinks since generating new found passing speed and throwing angles.

Consistency is always one of the biggest knocks on Dak. He's to hit and miss.

You think this is bad wait until he's allowed to be hit and roughed up. The comfort that red shirt provides isn't helping much.

By Week 8 this season the headlines will be talking about McCarthy, Moore, and Dak being replaced as soon as possible.

I don’t know if this is your first time following Dak but he typically doesn’t practice well. Even in his rookie season there were reports at times Showers looked better than him. He’s one of those guys who just turn it on when the lights come on.

Sure seems like it. Ugh!

Mindboggling. How can a QB go from arguably his best day ever in training camp to one of the worst ones?
Meh...

We hang too much on every morsel that comes out about this team. I get that we have cabin fever and are ready for the season to start but I'll wait until I hear that Dak has been struggling for a week or so. Then it's a pattern.

I know he doesn't practice well and really never has in his career, but I'd like to see good days stacked on top of each other.

We can agree to disagree on the "when the lights on come" thing. Because when those lights are the brightest he crumbles. We have 6 years worth of evidence on that.

Dak had a HORRIBLE 2nd day of full pads practice at 2022 T.C.! Everything that he's known to do wrong, well, he pretty much did it...

Struggling players on Day 2 of full pads

Dak Prescott

Listing Prescott as a struggling player should be contextualized first. By all accounts, Dak had an excellent day during the first practice of the week. But he followed up a solid practice with a poor performance on Tuesday.

The receiving group is listed as a winner partially because they had plenty of opportunities to make impressive catches on errant passes from Prescott. And CeeDee wasn't listed in the WR discussion because Prescott kept missing him deep when he was wide open.

Overthrowing receivers on deep passes seems to be the story of the day for Prescott. While he was able to hit Schultz for a TD after he escaped the pocket during today’s mojo moment, that was really the only positive.

Part of this is due to the defensive line impressing in today’s practice. But for the most part, the offensive line looked fine. It was just a down day for the Cowboys’ signal caller and fans should not place too much stock in it.

But on a positive note, the receiving room showed up big.

Snap out of it and fix those sudden mistakes, Dak. No excuse for such bad throws all of a sudden.

As promised, when Dak does well, he deserves praise. When he does bad, I will post about it and blast him. Let's go, Dak! You can do better.

This is the line that people need to learn about QB's.

Part of this is due to the defensive line impressing in today’s practice

When the QB has pressure, it makes his job much more difficult. Not saying this was all the issue. Maybe he had a day off. At least the trolls can jump for joy today.

So the QB that can't be touched crumbled and threw bad passes whenever the defensive line that cannot lay a finger on him pressured him....

You're taking comfort in that? lol

Just wait until he has to go up against defenses that are actually trying.

Yah, he might actually lead the #1 offense in football and highest scoring offense in football when he comes up against defenses that are trying. Imagine that?

Did you see that nice little stat the other day?

QB's with the most yards per game average over the last 3 years?

1. Dak Prescott 300
2. Patrick Mahomes 287

I forget the rest, but you get the picture. Average QB you say? OUCH!!

Poor guy must be difficult to see this kinda stuff.

look its preseason camp take the bad with the good. I have no issue if Dak struggles in season when it counts them benchinh his expensive ***. Im not sure how much better Rush would be but Im ok with the experiment. Dak has had his shot and there are alot of variables that go into why the team struggled last year. Its time to get to the next level.

this organization seems to have alot of faith in dak and I think we can win with him but the window is closing. of course this organizations track record isnt the best over the past 25 years.

I mean they were bright against the Packers and Seattle in the post season….I don’t think he crumbled or folded under pressure against the 49ers just think he stunk just like Aaron Rodgers did against them.

That's fine.

I'll give you those 2 games in his 6 year career because I don't really feel like arguing about it believe it or not. We can just agree to disagree on it.
