If Diggs has at least 7-8 picks this year I’m opening the checkbook for sure.

It makes sense. But...I would need more intel on how much better or worse Diggs has performed technique wise as well. Is he improving or stagnating? I would also need to know if the reluctance to tackle is true issue, if he is a penalty risk compared to other corners and if he takes risks or makes dumb mistakes that give up chunks of yards.

But...yes...if he gets 7-8 INT's this year...I assume teams taper off targeting him which definitely counts for something in the NFL. I just dont know how NFL teams would treat an INT machine that gives up chunks? Do they continue to target him or do they back off?

You dont overpay for Diggs? Interesting.

I bet if they lost Diggs you would be the same fan complaining they dont turn the ball over enough
I think the opposite
I look at who is harder to replace
It’s much harder to find a really good CB than it is a WR
If I had to choose two of the three then lamb would be the odd man out
I don’t think it will be that hard to keep all if they want
I suspect that was one of the considerations when we carried so much over this year

This is silly.

There are high school players who could beat Diggs in 1 on 1.

Playing 1 on 1 is not nearly as easy as some obviously think it is.
If Diggs gets cooked by a high school receiver then you def. don't overpay him.

The problem with your analysis is that covering 1 on 1 without a pass rush is probably one of the most difficult things to do in football.

The fact Diggs got beat isn't even almost an issue. It's going to happen to every player covering even UDFAs in 1 on 1.

It's just not as easy as you think.

In fact, very difficult.

I get it.

I know it's hard. That's why they make the big bucks.

The guys that make the real big bucks are the ones that make this stuff look easier than their peers. Diggs, when it comes to coverage, clearly does not.

I agree with this under normal circumstances. What compounds the issue for me is that Lamb does things you want receivers to do that a lot dont do. He is not afraid of extending to make a catch even when he knows he will be hammered immediately, he fights for extra yardage and seems to make tackling him difficult. Add to those things that he is long and scrappy and decent speed...he has all the tools to be really really really good.

But yes...I top CB is harder to find. But Lamb has some pretty desired traits himself. I go with Lamb if CB coaches think Diggs has major flaws even though hes a INT machine. Major flaws get exposed in Playoffs.

Not hating on Diggs. Love him. Im just coming from a standpoint on if the rumors are true with him. Yes...I know he has to be given time to improve and catch on to NFL game and speed.

Ain't nobody scared to throw his way lol

He gives up the yards.
Clearly you did t watch the video of every target he had this year.

Again, a lot of those yards we garbage time and others missing tackles on crossing routes that had 4+ seconds to develop.

The guy doesn't get the big bucks to cover guys running routes in first week of tc.

Fortunately it’s not a decision we have to make before seeing both for another season

If we are honest, it won't be as bad as we think. Keep in mind, that we've had TWO highly paid players on both sides of the ball. This will be no different......Diggs and Parsons on D and Dak and Lamb on offense. They will likely be the core we build around, the rest will be pieces via draft and free agents.

You act like this only happens in practice :lmao::lmao::lmao2:
I am starting to see the light...

He would be considered all world by you if he only gave up 726 yards like Byron Jones did last year, right?

Oh....he had 0 ints but that doesn't matter....lol

So how many of you who are worried about signing these three are also upset at the team for having all this cap space this year to roll over?
