LOLLLL “2 pulls of the facemask”? Get your eyes checked.

Nelson Agholor after the game:

“But for me, if [Mac Jones] gives me opportunities, my job is to find a way. That’s how I look at it. I wish I was a little bit closer to it and give myself an opportunity to make a play on that.”

So the WR himself thought it was uncatchable AND blamed himself for not being in position for it to be catchable, but YOU know better.
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

Wow, nice big fat lie, buddy. He was talking about the play in this article:

Is my bottom lip quivering?

No, I’m laughing at this remedial little kid on CZ who apparently can’t read.

You lose.
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

He also spoke about the missed opportunity on third-and-3 in overtime where it appeared that his facemask was grabbed.

“It’s one of those situations that happens,” he said. “It happens. We’ll get better. We’re working on it. It’s one of those things where I think the coaches are better at explaining that one and for me, if he gives me opportunities my job is to find a way. That’s how I look at it. I wish I was a little bit closer to it and give myself an opportunity to make a play on that.”

It's true that's what he said and credit to him for not blaming the refs unlike our players, but it's still a facemask pulling in 2 separate directions. Missed call and it helped us win the game. Not bad for a 50/50 call.

My mistake for trying to explain the rules, which requires some level of basic reading comprehension, to the guy who couldn’t even comprehend the article he replied with.

It'll be the Kelvin Joseph special. He tends to hold on too long. And young guys have to get use to the speed of the game. So look for him to lead the team in illegal contact calls.

A lot of our guys handfight with the receivers after the initial 5 yards. The style of play we use is similar to Seattle's where the DBs are very physical. I expect there to be a lot of calls against us, which seems par for the course when we start doing something well.

Penalties are an evil for sure. That 5 hour Thanksgiving game that just passed is proof they need less flags. Not more.

BUT having great athletes and skill negated just because a defender can mug the receiver rather than cover them isn't something I want to see either.

We need rules & enforcement that give the D a chance but they also need to be held accountable.

To be fair illegal contact penalties were cut in half last season compared to the prior 2 so it would make sense for the NFL to say "maybe you are missing some".

FFS, lets make it harder for defenders.....

Exactly. Dallas should have a good defense this year, so some subjective contact flags at the two or three coincidental points of a game that CAN change the outcome. I can see it now…”Dallas leads by 2. Third and six, Philly, at the Dallas 41…Parsons says no, BIG stop…but wait, there’s a flag! Unnecessary contact, first down Eagles! All they need now is a FG for the win!”

Great!!! Another rule clarification to take the game away from defense.
Why do we even bother defending the pass? Should just line up 11 dlinemen and hope they get to the QB before he throws the ball

I agree. I just hate penalties that are subject to interpretation. Like the catch rule for example.

If this penalty is called much lower than normal maybe we need better officiating and less rules for them to judge?

Yeah, lets speed the game up by streamlining the things that don't have to be ambiguous and not spend 5 minutes in super duper slow mo to see if the ball micro bobbled 3 yards outside the field of play when the guy clearly had possession with feet down in bounds. Let's not call blow to the head on the QB when it was clearly an inadvertent contact that doesn't need to be replayed & challenged. Lets upgrade the technology & review system at the stadium so they can quickly decide what needs further review and what doesn't.

It's beyond stupid to tell refs to focus on anything. Then all they do is throw 10,000 flags on the smallest of infractions.
Well Flamma , they do this every year with either new rules, or the focus on this or that lol.\
I think it is how they cover up game manipulation.

So now when fans see a flag for this penalty, media people will say the refs and players have not adjusted
to it yet, same thing for a new rule.

They have now given us advance notice, and looking at the posts here, we all know it means more flags,
in some games, and also quite a few bad calls we dont agree with. So they know how to lay it on us
so it seems bad but normal.

On top of this they still have the catch rule which they can still use and other flaky rules.

Yup. Remember the pass interference season?

God. This game gets harder and harder to watch
yeah but we all keep watching lol, and they know we will.
they move the area of focus around to different things lol, but they will continue to have that.
it helps them manipulate games.

Do you think the owners actually came up with this and thought refs should focus more on Illegal contact?
no this is from the committee who decides on how best to manipulate games this season.\
I think for helping vegas make the most money, on over under, beat or not beat spreads etc.
Then nfl gets a % of that.
