Thank god for Zeke and his blocking ability with the offensive line scrambling to get pieced together. But I think that keeping Zeke in the backfield for third down is going to force Pollard in a slot/WR role more just to get his speed and quickness in the game. This could turn out to be a good thing as it adds another WR option to a thin group of wideouts until Gallup gets back.

To me, Pollard is someone who could be split out wide pre -snap, not in formation. In other words, use your WRs as WRs. One cool formation I could see is with Zeke lined up at FB, Pollard at Tail, run Pollard behind Zeke a few times then spilt him out.

Basically, make the D believe you are using Zeke as a FB. Maybe even run him from the position, especially in GL/short yardage

Moore has to use this. We need all hands on deck. Use TE to help block. We need to shorten routes and get the ball out quick. None of this long developing routes. Dak will need to roll out more and need a safety blanket. Maybe Turpin can be that quick hitter that gets open fast.

Dak will need protection, that's almost guarenteed unless we trade/sign for a proven vet LT.

To heck with it, go with a RB, a FB, two TE's and a WR.

Make Zeke the FB, Pollard the RB, CeeDee the WR on 2nd or 3rd and long. In short yardage situations substitute with Noah Brown, a great blocking WR.

Use the TE for both blocking and receiving.

Now you have extra blockers but the defense doesn't know who. They have to respect the Backs and TE's receiving ability, They have to respect the abilities of both Zeke and Pollard when it comes to the running game.

This should be their plan to start the season while allowing the offense to evolve as they get back Gallup and the younger O-linemen improve week to week.

Could you imagine both Zeke and Pollard in the same lineup? Either one could run and block for the other.

We still need blocking and down the field passing. Can't win in the new NFL without it. But gimme some Zeke/Pollard run game with our defense and I'm game. Coaching also a major factor here.

We need to go with 2 TE and 1 WR most of the game as 1 TE will have to help protect the Backside supporting LT ( whoever it is - Ball , Tyler .. ) which means run game has to work or we are not scoring much .

If Zeke isn't getting over 300 carries a year then they are using him correctly. The only thing I can think of, is him being injured as the reason why he can't get that many carries.

The Cowboys won't be scoring as much but it will be enough if the Cowboys defense is what we think it is.

This is not new for him. If you think running through giant holes was difficult for his body, imagine his willingness to throw himself in front of someone who outweighs him by a 100+. God bless the Ewok. I hope he holds up, and continues to fight for his brother at QB.

FINALLY!!! Zeke may actually earn a little bit of his money by blocking!! He isnt doing it running.

Now you want to give that chump more carries? Its what he is going to need to get to 1000 yards this year. 300 carries for 900 yards at 3 ypc. Maybe by the end of the season he can wear the entire league down. :muttley:

That would be going in the wrong direction. Most of us want LESS snaps for zeke.

maybe we could move Zeke to LT, given the money he makes as an average RB, it would be a more justifiable move

The stats say Dallas needs 100 yards on the ground in order for the team to win. Back in the 90's, the stats said Emmitt needed 20 carries in order for the team to win. Every year the Cowboys won the SB Emmitt had like 340 carries.

You don't like Zeke and you think Zeke is part of the problem. A team that needs 100 yards on the ground to win and their star RB is the problem, right?

Just when I thought your train of thought couldn't get any worse, you go ahead and lower the bar even further. So maybe you can explain how a star RB is the problem on a team that needs 100 yards on the ground to win? I already know you can't explain that logically, so I don't expect a reply.

I think you are on to something, but K. Moore can't seem to deal with that many moving parts, it amazes me that a young guy like him can't get more creative.
