NOT Nothing

watch the game, not the stat line :facepalm:

dude made few TFL on run plays, pressures, i mean another post thats obviously a hater poat. he actually flashed many times tonight. its not all about sack totals. this defense is playing great and Hes part of it.

In 2 games for 2022 DLaw has 10 tackles, 1 tfl, 0 sacks, 0 qb hits, 0 pressures......so I'm not sure what you are talking about.

D Law played well. Sacks aren't all a DE does. Micah is that guy now. Law holds the edge. Before Micah he had to do more. It's schemed.

Then DLaw needs to give Parsons his contract since his extension was based on him being a sack guy.

Listen here:

If the player has been paid a significant amount and/or takes up the cap (Zeke, Dak, D-Law, etc.) they will let you down and do not care for the well-being of this team.

Ever since being paid:
D-Law bad how many sacks? how many games has he even played considering how much he’s been injured?

Dak’s been injured multiple times despite being this durable wall of China in his seasons previous to being paid. He’s become a rag doll suddenly after being paid. Gets his receivers in dangerous positions. Constantly misses windows. He just sucks as a NFL QB and pulled off one of the greatest sports con/heists in sports history by robbing an arrogant 90 year old man of 40 million a year.

Zeke is the same as Dak but in RB form. Dude sucks and gave up ever since he sat out like a toddler in time out and continues to not try. He’s out every other series (which honestly isn’t bad anymore considering how much better Pollard is) showcasing how lazy and nonchalant he is about himself and the state of the team.

just horrible quality of character all around. Never have I seen a team lack so much… willpower (?) before.

I love this post as if got no chill. My man went all out roasting everybody. I especially love the spot-on pulled off one of he greatest sports con-heists in history comment.

That is simply not true. He is not getting the sacks, but he is still one of the best run defenders at his position in the league. The DL is a lot stronger with him in their.

DLaw plays the LDE position...which is what he has always played....and Parsons is playing a rushing LB role at times.....besides, Parsons wasn't herein 2019 or 2020 when DLaw was the invisible man.

Correct in a 4-3 base defense, problem is we don't play that much anymore especially on passing downs, we kick him inside and Parsons takes the edge, he's more of a 5 tech D-end in a hybrid 3-4 now.

Try to keep up bro

Bingo. He is not an outside pass rusher anymore but he's still fast and strong enough to play inside and disrupt the run or tie up blockers for Parsons.

Yeah? How much worse was our run defense without him? Sniff it out. He's a player. I haven't forgotten. Where does Micah usually rush from? From the games I watch it's right over the left side of DLAW. So D catches either a double team, or Parsons. It's a smart move as a coordinator. D eats the blocks, and contains the edge. Giving time for Micah to turn back if it's a run, and the corners, and safeties to also pull up.

D Law played good football today, and last week. Overpaid? Jerry's fault. Happened before we had a Micah. Doesn't change the way I feel. He plays hard.

2021 rushing yards against Dallas with and without DLaw in the lineup:

Without (7 wins 3 losses)

257 carries 1,128 yards 9 td 4.39 ypc

With (5 wins 2 losses)

172 carries 790 yards 2 td 4.59 ypc

So based on your statement Dallas should have been much worse against the run without DLaw being in the lineup yet stats show Dallas was actually giving up more yards per carry WITH DLaw in the lineup than without.
So is that type of production worth the $25M cap number DLaw counted against the Dallas team salary in 2021????

$25M cap hit in 2021 and $14M cap hit in 2022 ($26M cap hit in 2023).....based on your statement DLaw is now more of a run defending DT so do you really think he should be getting paid what he is for the production he offers???? Especially seeing as how the run defense was actually better last season when he didn't play?????

Dlaw reworked his contract he was about 10M against the cap in 2021

He reworked his contract in 2020 and then again in March 2022.

"Lawrence’s 2021 cap hit, which was $22 million, is now $25 million. His 2022 hit is now $27 million (from $24M) and his 2023 hit is now $28 million (from $25M). He now also has a 2024 cap hit of $3 million despite not being under contract."

I can't verify the numbers right now, you should Fax those numbers over to Stephen and lodge a complaint

I’m happy with the win, but Tank was a non-factor in this game. Zero sacks, and of limited utility otherwise.

Does anyone think Tank belongs on the back of a milk carton? Asking for a friend.
He was doubled a lot if you actually watched and that freed up other rushers.

deja vu all over again

I remember some of these SAME excuses being made about Almost Anthony Spencer

great against the run, takes double teams, frees up other, etc

They were wrong then and are wrong now.

DL is simply overpaid for what he actually DOES.

Offense needs to move the chains more. The D was out of gas & because of it, Dallas almost lost the game.

Y'all aren't watching the game well at all then because DLaw was a monster bs the run. I know yall want sacks, but to say he did nothing is way off.

Yes he was definitely getting some nice push and blew up several running plays to his side. As fans we seem to only pay attention to sacks.

He didn’t make the splash plays but I’d need to see a rewatch before I criticize him…good defenses play assignment football and sometimes that means doing your job so other people make the plays that end up on Twitter
Doing the dirty work deep in the trenches is never glamorous. He wasn't penalized and I know he made a couple run stops so as far as sacks that doesn't seem to be his game. He eats up blockers apparently so others can feast.

He plays the run very well but doesn’t get after the QB anymore for some reason. His big contract was for his ability to get after the QB not for playing the run well. He is not worth his cap hit.
