Anything is possible but my opinion it is a 99.9% certainty that Prescott will be reinstated as starter. Now here is the interesting hypothetical I believe very few are considering NOW--just like it was discarded in 2016 (including the actual decision makers of Jones and Garrett):

Scenario: Prescott is re-inserted as starter, performs below coaching/GM expectations or gets re-injured, and is benched in favor of Rush.

The hypothetical, which I think has a higher probability of happening if things fall that way, would get Rush back behind center like some observers want anyway.

He is. But whats more to me, he is honest. The guy rubs it straight into our faces and doesnt care.

He said - when ? a week earlier ?! - it only matters that "we" are talked about. Well he saw the chance for it and even is ok with creating a QB controversy just to be talked about. All for the money. And he doesnt even feel ashamed. He tells everybody who doesnt even want to know.

The guy is so unscrupulous i really do feel embarrassed for him.

History says there are four magic words, those who proactively desire Prescott to return as starter, do not want to escape Jones (father not DNA Kid #1) or McCarthy's mouths in the next few weeks:

"Don't mess with chemistry."

Those are the four words indicating personal euphoria was taken root inside decision makers' minds. If those words are ever uttered, all Cowboys fans should be comforted in the fact a veteran quarterback would still be in charge of the offense. Reaching and/or making an extended run in the postseason might realistically be as low as .01% in that circumstance but it would not be zero percent. So, cheers, I guess..?
