I agree he has been the weakest link, not sure why we think Peters at LG. Smith has played fine for a rookie, big difference between a rookie play and vet IMO.

I was thinking the same based on the "future is now" statement. Jerry will have two HOF left tackles playing elsewhere or not playing at all.

I'd personally rather keep Smith there. He's played well and doesn't need a progress stopper. I'm interested in seeing what they do if the other Smith does makes it back this year!
TBH, I've never liked Peters as a LT, have always thought him to be very overrated as pass protector. But I do think he is, and will help as a good run blocker.

I would argue this is the first official sign that Tyron's career as the Cowboy's starting LT is over. If Tyler continues to play and improve, no way Tyron's getting his job back.

Tyron was a great player. He needs to moved on from. Can’t have a LT that can’t stay healthy plus Smith looks really good.
