I can't honestly add anything that hasn't already been said so I'll join the rest of you in a group facepalm and smh.

That's our GM.

Keep McGovern warmed up, and Tyler aware of the gameplan at LT for obvious reasons.

You see what he does as meddli

Funny... you say stop giving him a pass for the past wins... do the same for Bill Belichek. Since Brady left, his teams are JAG. Not bad, not horrible.... low end playoff caliber, but no way in hell going to win a title. Kind of like the Cowboys. no? Yet how long does Billy Boy get a pass? FOREVER, thats how long Billy will get a pass.
I’ve often been a critic of Belichick. He’s had modest success as HC without Brady. He is however a defensive guru. But this is more of an attempt to redirect our issues with

But the bigger point is if you try to do it the right way with normal organizations at some point you have a greater chance of getting it right.

I think he meant he didn't want them messing with the chemistry of the O-line, not that Tyron wouldn't play well.

And that’s what I’m most concerned about. But I wouldn’t just automatically assume he comes back at the same level. Ir even near the same level. Big E didn’t after the car crash injury.

Not a good thing, since the kid has done an outstanding job at the LT position! Personally, I would like to see Tyler stay at the LT spot and have Tyron jump into the LG spot, I think it would be less stress on his aging body.

I don't think Tyron can play G. My objective is to keep him off the field entirely so you don't mess up any OL mojo that is going on right now. If he must come back it has to be at LT.

The difference in those other cities is they have the ability to finally get it right.

Remember despite our illustrious history , even with this owner, we are one of only 3 teams this era to not make a NFC championship game and 1 of 4 to not make a Super Bowl.
NFC title game... who cares. Nobody even remembers the team that lost the SB 5 years ago. It is either win or not. That is all that matters.

The rams won a SB LAST year. Was it worth what those fans are now going to suffer for the next 5 or 6 years? It better be, because the qb they traded for is likely going to retire, and their draft picks for the next several years will be garbage.

How long before boy wonder resigns to "Spend more time with his family?"

You do? How many teams have gone through a half dozen coaches and GMs in the past 20 years and they still suck?

Let me count the ways...... Jags, Dolphins, Chargers, Raiders, Jets, Denver, Browns, Bengals, Washington, Lions, Bears, Cards, Falcons, Panthers, Bills, Texans.......

I bet if I went back and checked to see how many coaches and GMs those teams have gone through in the past 20 years it would be about 50 combined and only the Broncos had any real success..... hmmm, I wonder why that was? But yet, those teams have done it the "Right," way yes? I mean they have hired "Real football," people..... over and over and over again....lol

Then let the coaching staff say it.
That should be their job.

I have no issue with it. Fact is the coaches gave Tyler Smith the reps in the 4th qrt at Guard sunday. Sure as hell did not do it for no reason. People want to get upset fine be upset I saw what Dallas was doing Sunday and that told me all I needed to know.

It would be completely asinine to play McGovern when T Smith 77 is ready to go and there is no way Tyron is playing anywhere other than LT. I just don't get why this has been such a topic all year and why so many have this delusional thought that Tyler will stay at LT when Tyron is back. You play Tyron at LT and Tyler at LG until Tyron gets hurt again. Maybe it's a play, maybe a week or maybe a month but until it happens this is not even a debate. Tyler will play no matter what and Tyler will also likely be our LT going forward. This in no way whatsoever impedes his progress. Him playing every down is all that matters for him to develop into the player we think he can be.

Oh and Jerry is an idiot who can't keep his big mouth shut and the day he finally just says no comment or ask the coach like he should and like is best for the team will never come because he's a jackass.

You seem to keep ignoring that those other teams have all figured it out to a conference championship or Super Bowl this era at least once except for 4 teams including the Cowboys .

The fact you don’t even have the info right totally discredits you’re attempt to defend Jethro’s ways this era.

Honestly, I don't want Jerry to stop. He keeps us informed while he keeps our opponents guessing.

Best thing to do with Tyron is keep him as a backup the rest of the season while sparingly substituting him to see how his body holds up. If he starts to struggle or his body breaks down again during limited play, well, we will have our answer what to do with him after this season. Everyone knows Tyron is one of the best at Left Tackle when healthy, but we also know his body no longer holds up for a whole season. Time to make him a backup, play him sparingly and re-evaluate his remaining contract after this season.
If he’s keeping us informed then he’s also keeping our opponents informed as well.
Equally if he keeping our opponents guessing then he’s keeping us guessing as well.

Yes, fans do remember . Just like we remember all of those Super Bowls and championships we appeared in.

And I’d argue on the Rams behalf, it is worth it. But you’d have to ask them. Plus there’s always the chance in a few years they could return to prominence.

I hope they take a hard look at him in practice because if he is not up to speed and they throw him into the fire after all this time... well lets just say, a bad rep and good bye Dak, this could cost us the season.

If that is your opinion that is fine & fair. If that doesn't end up being the case, I know you will acknowledge. If Tyron comes back and plays better than Tyler at LT, I'll acknowledge.

I'm 100% confident it's going to be Tryon. One game doesn't make this 2014-2016 Cowboys offensive line and while Tyler has played well, he's nowhere near Smith's level when healthy.
