Do the Cowboys see Rush as the starter in a bridge role next year?

We take a QB this year - Like the kid from Tennessee and - we buy Dak out - Rush starts next year ( and maybe beyond ) at a super low cap hit: while the young QB marinates .

Would you be shocked if Rush is stating by week 5,6 if Dak starts terribly ?

Skip Bayless thinks we have a gem In Rush - maybe he’s right for once in his life.
I got some tin foil for your hat....
:omg:

Umm wake-up

Umm Dak is on his last year here

Ummm Dak was just restructured allowing an out .

Ummm Rush was 5-1 last year and has guaranteed money next year .
So he becomes the stop gap until Max Duggan is ready .
Ummm, grow up.....you post a thread to get opinions...if you don't want to them, don't post.

Here is a serious question for anyone who regularly watches Undisputed.

Have they ever aired a segment dedicated on a backup quarterback? I mean a real backup quarterback. Not referring to former quarterbacks who were drafted as projected starters for a franchise early in their career and THEN became a backup like an Andy Dalton. I'm talking about quarterbacks like Cooper Rush, backups who only start whenever the starter gets hurt and no team wants him as a starter when he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

I could be wrong but I'm betting the answer is no. Typical talking sports head click-bait filler put together just because Dallas was involved.

It will likely never happen but one day I hope Skip Bayless will say something so utterly ignorant and incendiary that Shannon Sharpe's brain will turn completely off. Then he'll walk over to Bayless, pick him up like a twig and and snap him over his knee.

Now THAT's an episode of Undisputed I would be eager to watch.
I've never seen the Howdy Doody and Mr. Ed show and don't intend to ever watch it....

The bigger picture to all of this again is it doesn't matter because the starter is a poor decision maker but the HC has put all his support eggs in the SleepNumber basket.

Prescott will play unless injured. McCarthy ain't got the balls to bench him even if Prescott was sucking badly.

All these peripheral discussion topics can't erase these facts.

So there's no use in discussing Rush regardless.

No
Everyone knows he’s not a starter
But he’s a smart guy and isn’t a bad backup
He wouldn’t have came back if anyone in the league thought he was a starter

Yes QBs can spit the bit and cost you big games .
49ers x 2?
So yes, ? you follow.

Let me know if a little bell is going off in your head.
Anyone who thinks Rush is a starting QB in this league should have to wear bells so others know when they are comming in the room...

ok, then I get it, given some of you Bash Dak over Dallas cult members don't like to answer those type of questions.

as for that then Dak is 61-36 and way way way above Rush in every statistical category. but I can understand someone who has Alziemers can only think so far back....rush was 4-1 and on his way to probably 5-11. what we clearly saw over 5 games he played, factually speaking, that he consistently got worse, culminating in a 100 yard passing performance against 22nd rank defense, getting truly bailed out by the defense given they gifted him and the offense 9 points by themselves and then wheels truly coming off against eagles with a 3 interception game and 47% completion percentage. it was a backward hockey stick of a performance where he disintegrated right before our eyes.

and given that you are a Bash Dak over Dallas cult member, you seem to have microscopic eyes and forget that we rushed for all of 76 yards and our pathetic defense gave up big play after big play to a 7th round 3rd string rookie, dropping sure interceptions, but don't let that get in the way of your hatred.

Dak can win regular season games.
Rush can win regular season games.

Rush hasn't played in postseason games but most likely could not raise his own level of performance to beat playoff teams.

Dak's decision making against playoff opponents reveal he can not overcome himself in the heat of the moment to make the right decisions.

This all adds up to the Cowboys not having post season success. Or if so, a one and done ceiling.

Dak is the starter.
Rush is the backup.

Cowboy QB purgatory is real.
So yes, THIS is a big deal, LOL.

The fact this conversation is still being had is flat out insane. Cooper Rush is nothing than a backup and there realistically is not a way out of the Dak deal for 2 more seasons.
We got 2-4 and you’ll be crying for Cooper .
